Why is it that when you know you have to do something important *cough 1500 word essay* you will always find something els that is more important like cleaning the house or my altemit favourite coming on this site? drives me nuts ( doesn't help that i have to type the damn thing now does it ?) !!! (ive got a writers block can you tell ? )

anyway's off to clean the house and then it's glasses on and back to super nerd !

What's the essay over? 1500 isn't much gimmie the topic and I might have something for ya that wasn't used on turn it in.com. I had a 4.0 in college and Over a 100 in English so I wouldn't mind throwing ya a bone .

Theory of how learning occurs? Well it starts with interest. You can't learn something if you aren't interested in it. If you have at least SOME interest in it, then you'll remember what you learn. If you are forced to learn something.. its not really learnt only because it might stay in your head for the few days before you have to take a test, but after the test, its like goodbye information. Now if you were learning about something you are interested in such as The Flying Tigers in WW2 who were stationed over in China fighting for the US in P-38 fighter planes with paintings of tiger like teeth on them, then you might remember Claire Lee Chennault who led his team to countles victories with hero's such as Tex Hill. Why do I know this? Because I remembered what I learned since I'm interested in planes, flying, etc. Err.. whoops.. I'm giving away some information aren't I .. lol.. I'll shut up and let you continue with your essay.

Don't forget about effects of drugs and slowing of the growth and renewing of new brain cells, and how the earlier stages of life are more condusive to the learning process al that good stuff. Also though how older brains still have the potential they just get into a rythm of using only a certain portion of their brain. That's why once someone has the same career for so long their brain tends to become less active because it becomes repitition.

OH, and Picture with word association makes it better, studying the night before a test and having it be the last thing on your mind is better, and finally many bursts of learning for short periods of time (studying) is better than reading 1 or 2 times all in 1 sit.

Don't feel too bad. I'm only on Chapter 7 of the book I'm writing and it's outlined to be thirty-six chapters long. It's really much worse when you *don't* have someone clubbing you over the head with a deadline!

FEAR OF FAILURE.

for me, it is a progression. I get better, so every time the bar is high, so there is always an increasing fear that the next time I do something, it won't be as good as my last work.

Procrastination is us try not to fail, because if we don't DO we can't FAIL. If I never put the pencil to paper, I would never make a bad drawing. as long as you are not writing the essay it won't turn out bad. According to Mark Kneece, this is why Failure is an achievement, because if you fail, that means you tried, and trying is more than what some people do.

but if i never write the essay then i'll never know if i could or not
and if i don't write the essay i fail the semester meaning i won't achieve my dream of becoming a teacher and making a difference in a chiild's life and also out of failure comes success if you learn from your mistakes if we all gave up the first time we failed or never even tried because of the fear of failure, society would not have evolved and become as advanced as it is today. in the last part of your sentence you almost sound like my lecture on education

Ya know.. I don't know if this is only with me.. or what.. but.. for some reason.. when I was in school, if I would start writing a report or essay or whatever it was when I first heard about it.. I ended up getting C's or whatever as a grade. But when I would just throw a bunch of stuff together the night before it was due.. mind you I never proofread anything.. I'd get A's on it. How is this? Just doesn't make sense.. oh well.. I'm glad I don't have to do that anymore.
