IMAX release .. how much extended is it?

That was...incredibly anti-climatic. It was like "ADDITIONAL FOOTAGE!?!!!?! Two minutes?"

Oh well, I was hyped to see it in IMAX long before I knew there was additional footage so two more minutes is two more reasons for me to be even more excited about the IMAX release. Here's hoping for Prime crushing Barricade....

After seeing it again tonight, I've concluded that the best possible scenario would be about 30 seconds of Prime destroying Barricade, with the other minute and a half dedicated to his fight with Megs

Only two more minutes ? Hmm, I would have thought it would be more than that but I would still see it even if it was the same as the theatrical version.
Depending upon the footage I might not notice a difference at all if it's that little.
I hope my Imax theater decides to show it!

Yes!!! i cant wait to see the extra 2 minutes .....what happened to barricade?Saleen is going to produce 200 super cars for 2008 that resemble closely to barricade.i checked local laws and found that i could paint my car like this and went to the movie premiere in it!!! the local cops went crazy and kept pulling me over and found the law wasnt broken.i cant wait for part 2 of TF as it is .....the story needs to be told...ahhhhh...hahahahahahjus kidden i cant wait to go to 2 in it!!!Prime cant be the champion over barricade....too many soldiers were lost to him....and then Jazz died....oh no!!!one character.if the decepticons ruined life in Cybetron,how come they suck so bad against PRIME?And then there is Megatron....picken on little guys and being defeated the way he did..believable.i believed his character to dispise humans ,when he flicked one and stated"filthy!"Someones gotta redeem the decepticons cause three movies of decepticon slap around is too much.the death of prime made my seven yr.old literally cry when he died on the animated movie.he didnt even know what transformers were until we saw the movie trailer.up until then he didnt care for transformers.onward my decepticon allies...TRANSFORM AND TERRORIZE !!!!!!! My point is this ,Megatron revived by cube and energies maybe from a top secret nuclear sub patroling the area where they dropped off the bodies. and maybe the death of prime .No Rodimus....bumblebee must be the important next leader due to his characters relationship to sam...MAYYYYYYBEEEEEEEE,maybe not.

yeah, the movie is already 2 hour 20 minutes. So you wouldn't want to add more than 10 minutes if anything at all. I'm happy with 2 additional minutes. I dunno if it is an action sequence or part of but if it is, an additional 2 minutes of action will be awesome!!

And when you really think about it, action sequences don't last very long in movies. I think the Blackout sequence could not be more than 6 minutes long from the moment he started transforming. So adding another 2 minutes to a 6 minute action sequence would be freaking crazy!!

Truew but it all depends upon which two minutes it is ?

If it's action or cgi shots then that might make all the difference if it's just blab blab then probably not for a film like this.
Regardless, extra footage or not I'd still see it again if my local Imax theater decides to show it.

You'd have to search google or check your local theater, my local Imax theater is still undecided

YAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOO !!! My local Imax theater has finally updated their site and they will be showing Transformers on September 21st after all !
They were on the fence about it for a long time but this is great news!
