So, uh, that was a bit OT!

Reputation for extreme left-wing public craziness? Never noticed anything like that, but then again I've only been there three times or so.Well, true. SF's very public reputation for extreme left-wing public craziness actually does make the more reasonably moderate, professionally employed sector of the population behave in a very tense, uptight way. You get a strong sense that some people behave a certain way so as not to be lumped in with the weirdo fringe.
Anyway - pray you never have to watch a popcorn flick in a German movie theater. There is practically no cheering or clapping whatsoever in a regular screening. Exceptions are first-night-showings of fan-favorites like "Lord of the Rings" or "Star Wars".
Saw Iron Man on friday night!...Is it just me, or are they getting better at making comic book movies!......This was the best adaptation yet!!! Thank God there was no Fin-Fang Foom. Downy was perfect for Stark. Loved all the cool toys he had! The burger king bit was funeeee
I agree about Samuel Jackson being overused.......Sould have brought in someone new to play Nick Fury, but Shield, and "The Avengers" will be another topic
Was that Stan Lee playing Hugh Heffner? He usually does cameos in marvel films
No Hulk trailer in our theater, but we did see "The Happening" trail, the Indy trailer, the new Dark night trailer, the Love Guru (with Mike Myers......man this is gonna be fucken funny, like a continuation of Austin Power), and "Don't Mess with Zohan", Sandlers new Flick. This will be hilarious as well.
Yes, that was Stan Lee (I caught it RIGHT OFF. Yes, I'm obsessed.) as Hef. He was surrounded by chicks, and wearing Hef's outfit, so that's why Stark mistook him for Hef. He was credited as himself. Maybe a mistake, maybe not. *shrug*
I didn't get a Hulk trailer either (the theater in the town I work in did...) but I saw all the others you mentioned. As for the Hulk..meh.
And yes, they are getting better at making comic book movies. This one is by far the best. I agree.
