Two questions about 'THE ISLAND'

Hey to anybody who can answer this, whether is michael or any member of the forum, I have 2 questions about the movie the 'island'

1.- which "real island" shoots did they use for the footage of 'the Island' at the beggining, ending and the lottery of the movie? I mean which real island in the world did they shoot to use as footage.. ?

2.- is there going to be a 'sequel' ?
because I found this at the yahoo! movie page in the boards section:

"loose talk says micheal bay will be back for the island 2, which will be a prequel to the last one from when the island first started "

because even if the movie didn't make that "amazing" at box office in the U.S., MOST PEOPLE (myself included) think that the movie is great. like seriously, for real. whatever it happened, I think that the great sales on DVD and the success at the box office overseas, in spite of the "non very favorable reviews" are a proof of it. the movie is really really good. at least way better than other "box office successful" movies.

I seriously doubt that there will be a sequel or prequel for The Island.

you know actually I think that it MUST BE somewhere in Europe, also I readed it somewhere that those shoots where some of the last to shoot. And the fact that the owner of the superyacht is somewhere in Europe, makes me think it so.

I've been looking for that 'arch' of rocks that appears in the movie.. I've found 2 this far in Europe, one in Capri Italy and the other in Mallorca, called "Es Pontas"

I'm confused =S I'm gonna start my research for another arch in Greece as you said xD but AS YOU CAN SEE, the water and the lands of rocks that appear in the movie MUST BE somewhere in the Mediterranean =D


Because I also searched for the Island of Bora Bora, and I actually think that the real 'Island' shots must be from bora bora, like the island that appears on the lottery footage, but I mean the bays with rocks and the sea at the beginning and ending of the movie, those must be somewhere in the Mediterranean, because bora bora island is way too "tropical" for that shoots that makes the starting and ending of the movie.

but if does anyone have the real information post it in here please =D

I have been surfing the web site, but I didn't really searched for it.
also in the credits of the movie but I have not read it that well, I've just seen that some shots where in detroit, the desert was in arizona, and other shots in LA but I haven't seen where the island shoots are from.. I will take a more deep look at the credits to see if is there any information and also the web site =D
