Meh. Don't really care for this one
I will skip this one too! Jack Sparrow of Fleet street!

If your going to base everything on visuals alone then that throws all your old arguments about Transformers or any other movie right out the window!
He clearly sounded too much like Jack Sparrow in several of the first scenes he was in.

He broke out into song, WTF? I'll wait for some reviews then maybe a rental. Without the singing it looks alright.
I wanna see, although, I will probably wait till it comes out on DVD (like everything else.)

I really hope this movie is good. As a kid Burton was my favorite director but after Sleepy Hollow he lost it I think. I hope this is a return to his classic Beetlejuice/Batman/PeeWee/Scissorhands Burton of old. Oh, Big Fish did rule though!
I don't like Tim Burton, to be honest.
well depp is sparrow. and that character is fairly popular for a while he will be associated with jack sparrow. Sparrow wasnt a big departure from his orginal voice. it was just depp drunk.
i probably misstated the visual part but, i have always at least found tim burtons movies refreshing
I like tim burton and johnny depp but that does not mean all their movies are great, corpse bride as uraydo pointed out which was just a rehash of the nightmare before christmas and willy wonka was not too good. Have we also forgotten "Cry-Baby" ?
Yes, most of tim burtons and johnny depps movies are good and I'm a fan of both but that does not mean this will be good, it just did not look appealing to me.

Johnny Depp/Tim Burton is always a good combination, but a musical... meh.
Although Burton is not in my Top10 he's still one of the best directors ever of course... One who still makes art. That movie looks awesome like all his movies do. Can't wait for this unique and special experience (which is far too rare anyways).
And I truly hope and wait for a good musical movie again... since one of the best movies ever, Moulin Rouge.
(Didn't expect from the trailer it would be a musical though)

Not too excited about this one, but I'll probably see it out of curiosity. Burton's an interesting filmmaker.
