I'm a dog chasing cars. I don't know what I'd do if I caught one. I don't have plans. I just do things. I'm not a schemer.
I use a knife because guns are too quick. Otherwise, you can't savor all the emotions. You know who people are in their last moments.
I believe whatever doesn't kill you simply makes you... stranger.

Don't you think, on the same token, that it takes it back to the regular "channels" of info? Meaning that this kind of "backlash" (which I hardly think it is) or non-coverage, will prove to be a non-factor?
Furthermore, I still think that the trailers/teasers, "official" interviews/pre-hype press, etc. are technically the tip of the spear (so to speak) when it comes to this getting out to the masses marketing-wise, not just the proactive seekers (who will now have to wait as well) looking for anything to bitch about or praise. Which the latter are, suffice it to say, the bread and butter of websites like DarkHorizons or Aintitcool, or any of these sites, IMO.
Really? I was on my knees thanking every deity I could conceive of that the supposedly leaked "casting call" list was completely fake. Ex-girlfriend? Magically appearing older brother?
I know from fanboys, trust me. I've been a geek for a VERY long time. Some of them are so nuts they'll show up their ten bucks in hand if only so they have something to bitch about the next day. He's not going to lose anybody by NOT spoiling stuff.
And the internet press? Why should he kowtow to people who envy him SO much they cannot say anything about him without taking a shot or two. I'm behind him on all of this. He deserves to have this level of control over his own film and we should all be grateful should he choose to share things with us here. He absolutely does NOT have to, but he does! I'm grateful, anyway...
"I made this whole world shine for you."
Think about the links that members have posted on this site directing us to press sites or gossip columns that quote Bay DIRECTLY from THIS forum. I can understand why Bay wouldn't post too often here, and when he does, how he would have to be careful as to what he says. Words taken out of context can portray the wrong message.
I agree that Bay should have that level of control over HIS project. Spielberg went as far as building walls around shoot locations and putting bar codes on every page of the script for Kingdom of the Crystal Skull to prevent people duplicating the pages and leaking the plot line.
Michael Bay HIMSELF said he was going to leak false information out to confuse us and you know what? It's working pretty damn well.![]()
Oh, don't get me wrong: The fact Michael's quote was taken out of a simple response on a thread instead of one actually created by Michael is to be regarded with extreme suspicion. (Meaning somebody really went out of their way to locate it, and subsequently post on other websites "See? SEEEE what he said?! I told ya he was a jerk!!")

The "backlash" is simply from people that Michael Bay is foiling.
The people who want to be the first to post up spoilers and leaked shots and such.
The fact that Bay is confusing the issue is simply frustrating them, so they will whine a bit. But it's better in the long run.
Here's my Transformers Trailer.. goes from a Trailer.. to a yacht..
I'm not bothered realley by the misinformation being releashed. I already have a pretty basic idea as to what will happen. Megatron will be ressurected somehow, Starscream is going to lead an all out assault on earth, and Optimus Prime will die or be critically injured and come back in the third movie if Michael remains mostly true to the original storyline.
If Prime die, I'll weep all through a flight back to Tokyo.
I love Prime, and got it inked.
Just found article for airmen auditions including possible production times
here is the link

Me either. It keeps us guessing and gives us the the opportunity to throw out the 'what-if's' and speculate about the next film. I think it's all in good fun, but no one can get their hopes up about any single story line until there's something concrete to go off of.
thats funny. not funny as I want to see you cry, but if I saw that in a movie it would make me laugh. don't get me wrong though, I don't want you to have to spend you whole flight crying.... in any case, here is something to cheer you up, if you ever need it.

Thank you for the song, yes, Hasbro might not let go of their leading product, "with Prime back in charge, it's all good", indeed.
Wait, it reminds me of 10 years ago. I liked the robot named Cho-Ryujin. He sacrificed himself to save mankind. Of course I was shocked, but just 4 weeks later, he came back as Gen-Ryujin/Go-Ryuujin... damn you toy companies!
If Prime dies, I'll be taught by some fans of Han Solo's or Jack Sparrow's how to spend another two years until the hero comes back.
I love Prime, and got it inked.
Keeping the fans guessing isn't just for TF. Here is an article on "Iron Man."
http://www.variety.com/article/VR111...ryid=2508&cs=1
Excerpt: Enmeshed in the Marvel universe, Favreau hopes to launch another comicbook series such as "Captain America," "Thor," or "The Avengers." Marvel prexy of production Kevin Feige expects Favreau to move right onto the "Iron Man" sequel: "He's right here with us; he's one of the biggest fanboys."
Engaging with fanboys was one of the learning experiences the director took on with "Iron Man." He kept website guessers at bay by planting purposely inaccurate material online, including suggestions of the presence of Samuel Jackson and Hilary Swank in the film. (They're not in it.)
