Soundwave is going to have to be one of those new vehicles with the weapons that are made of concentrated soundwaves to destroy a target. That is the best bet. A soundwave weapon = Soundwave in the film.

Magnus = Definitely cool I could dig an old school peterbuilt... but how will they do the trailer?

Galvatron I dunno HTF they would do him. What mode, and what would he do... Definitely will be there, but I dunno

Megatron died, not Galvatron. His alternate form could be a giant laser cannon. ( Those are in R&D u know.) He coould land near a major research business, such as lockheed-martin, and make note of such an auspicious landing site.

Niiiiiiiice concept art for an updated Soundwave. The monotone I heard in the 'toons is the voice I'm used to for Soundwave - I wonder if Frank Welker will finally make it into the live action movie as Soundwave or if they'll try to go in a whole other direction with his voice? Assuming, of course, that the character will be in the next movie.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I wish Sunstreaker and Sideswipe will make it into the sequel. And if they really want to drag another name actor to do a voice, I'm voting for Owen Wilson as Sideswipe. Heh.

Soundwave doesn't have to be a cassette player, ipod, betamax, 8 track, Mp3 player or whatever, it just wouldn't do Soundwave (everybody's favorite character) any justice.

The concept art is great and I think that the artist has the right idea in keeping the essence of what makes Soundwave keep his character:

1) The head with the mouth plate
2) the chest is rectangular
3) keep his voice monotone

Those are the 3 main things that makes Soundwave who he is.

The fact that he's also labeled a Chief Communications Officer makes his name more credible --- that he uses sound and radio waves to communicate or use them as a weapon of some kind or communications jamming.

I'd rather Soundwave be a Vehicle, it only makes sense especially in the world of Transformers today.

This is Transformers 2009, not Tranformers of 1984, it was never G1 to begin with but based off the entire universe and any one of the original characters can go through changes.
