this is a visual trick. most people if they stare at it can see it going both ways. However I looked at your post and observed the thread not from a purely visual standpoint. I incorporated what sherlock holmes calls deductive reasoning. lol. I at first wanted to say the figure was switching directions every few minutes, but then my logic kicked in and well, let's start with her lower foot and the shadow. she keeps bouncing. now look at the shadow of the upper foot; the heal of the shadow is always shown closer to us and the toes further....lmao I spent entirely too much time on this, lol. I see it going both ways and at times can concientiously make it switch direction... Great illusion. Lol, I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who can choose when I focus which side of the brain I use... My first conclusion was she was going clock wise but moments later I changed my hypothesis. then After looking not directly at the lower foot shadow I was able to see her bounce back and forth from clockwise to counter clockwise.

P.S. even sherlock holmes would be stumped on this visual mystery.

I can make it change it change direction, but I have a pretty health balance between both sides. Right Brained. BUUUUUUUUUUUT, Had encephalitis as a kid (5 months old). So I had some scaring on the left side. My brain works differently. Growing my right compensated for the left, but when I grew my left healed and I got the best of both worlds. Left was healed and worked, and right was over functioning. Kewl eh?

No BS really. I closed my eye and then opened it and then it was back to clockwise so it's like those pictures yousee at the mall with hidden images, or just a matter of timing and its just a gif image =P

Yeah....I glanced at it, it was going counter-clockwise, then I glanced back and it was going clockwise. I thought my computer had refreshed screens on me. But nope....definitely fascinating.

And those 3D images always took me a little while to get those.

When I first looked at it it was clockwise, so I tried to find out how to see it counterclockwise. After reading one of the comments under the page, I imagined the word "counterclockwise" in my head until she started to spin counterclockwise! It's almost as if one would have to train themselves to see it both ways. Now I can switch it whenever I want to. This is too cool!
