By the way, his head clearly inspired by the binoculars "Lenny" from Toy Story.

OOH! A bit of news about Wall-E I bet you didn't even know about!!!

Sigourney Weaver was been brought in to voice the ship’s computer. He (Andrew Stanton with PIXAR) said as a sci-fi geek he couldn’t express how happy he was that he got Ripley to play Mother and was psyched that he could make that nod to Alien.
