While there are some medications that can mess you up (more likely a combination), but Lexapro an antidepressant would more likly have him feeling like a zombie, however that said it does come with a disclaimer of "Tell the doctor immediately if you notice worsening depression/other psychiatric conditions, unusual behavior changes including possible suicidal thoughts/attempts new/worsening anxiety, panic attacks, trouble sleeping, irritability, hostile/angry feelings, impulsive actions, severe restlessness, very rapid speech" But it doesn't change who you are, it simply amplifies or mutes what is already there -- and the reason for him being on the drug in the first place may have simply been his subconcious guilt on what he'd been thinking and doing.
What is really curious is how people like this can move through society and go unoticed. It's amazing. Although, they don't always go without notice, they simply are not caught.
About eight years ago I met another human that set off the alarm -- was introduced (in a lobby) to a guy, told he was a doctor, and as I put out the hand to shake (not touching flesh yet -- still 12 inches away) I suddenly felt this overwhelming desire to recoil... never had such a feeling in my life. I think all the blood rushed down to my feet. I had to fight that impulse and continue to smile, greet, and shake. The guy was to have had a PHd., but I couldn't find any such evidence. He also had a website showing all his young male martial arts students ("call me sensei"). The creepiest cat I've ever met (And my instincts are usually right on.) . No one else got that vibe. I swear someday, they're going to dig up that dude's backyard and find the bodies.
