    Default Knight Rider movie

It's pretty good right now. The guy who plays Mike used to play some character on all my children so I had some doubts cause quite frankly the guy couldn't act. Right now though he is doing pretty good. The new mike i would say is pretty good. all in all this could make for a fun series.

    Needed more Hoff! (j/k)

Other than the "morphing" that was going on with the car, I enjoyed this show more than I thought I would. Not bad.

I wish it'd hit Japanese air soon. Is it a pilot? or just a single movie?
When it'll be made into a series, I hope to hear K.A.R.R. voiced as same as in the original.. by Mr. Peter Cullen.

It's a pilot. Depending on the ratings, it should become a series

K.I.T.T is voiced by Val Kilmer

Both, I assume it depends on the success of this initial movie whether or not we will see a series.

Was it me or was the Blue Oval a little heavy handed with the product placement? I mean come on, EVERY car seemed to be either a Ford or a Ford subsidiary. From the villains cars (sans the Yukon), to the background vehicles, heck even Michael's mom drove an old Ranchero (Ford's El Camino).

    Just sayin'.

*edit* ...and they said TF was blatant.

    At least tf had variety
Maybe its just me, but there were way too many commercials as well....like they needed filler to make it 2hrs....

..and that damned ford commercial every single time.....

This has the Blade series vibe. I predict a good start but falls on its ass after six episodes. I missed it but I'll give it a chance. If I could give Blade a chance I can this.

What ever happened to the Pontiac Trans Am.. or even the Dodge Stealth that they used in the Knight Rider 2000 movie? Grrrr.. Sorry.. I'm not too much of a Ford fan.. after all.. just look at their symbol... at least they circled the problem.. heh heh..

    Meh...wrong car...wrong voice...

The voice was too "warm" Needed to be processed more. Sounded ok over the earpiece with Sarah but it should have sounded like that the whole time.

Writing was pure shit. Just a long TV episode. Acting was sub par as well.

Some nice shots of the car, some used more than once...meh. They should have shot it on film. HD made it look cheap.

Editing was so so, not great. Effects were low quality. The car can deflect bullets, we get it...

The Ford commercials between the show looked better than the show itself, that's pretty sad.

Overall I'd say they completely dropped the ball on this one. Don't really care to see more.

Maybe they can try to fuck up Airwolf next?
    Shoot for the impossible...
    ...Then do it.

That was a Pontiac Banshee concept car. The dodge stealth's were in "Viper"

For me Knight Rider is what Transformers are to most of you guys who have joined this forum in the last year or so. Knight Rider was my #1 favorite show.

I didn't want to look at these threads till i saw it. Now that I have I can say while it wasn't quite the reincarnation I had always hoped for Knight Rider, I did enjoy it.

I was iffy on the Mustang, not because i like GM, cause i really don't. the 82 Trans Am is the only GM car i really care for, and thats all because of the original Knight Rider. But back to my point about the mustang, is because the Trans Am KITT was such an icon like the DMC 12 Delorean in Back to the Future. But the concept of the mustang is starting to grow on me.

The special effects which i noted drew from the series "Viper" a tad were kinda weak. Especially at the end where the car backed out of the plane.

Story was fun but not to special. If they get some real good writers and flesh into the history of the characters within the KR lore and give it a kinda "24" treatment (character development wise) I think this could be pretty interesting. I certainly hope so.

I DVR'd the show and when i watched it today, yea, there were too many damn commercials! This would have done well as a single hour episode. Too spread thin for a 2 hour movie. They probably had to fit all those damn commercials in there just to pay for production or something crazy like that. Or maybe because they only got greenlit for a single episode, they had to justify the fact that its not a guaranteed series so they packaged it as a movie. Same content. (writers strike played a role?)

Overall, considering the huge doubts I had, I give it a B-. Enough to make me watch it again. And enough to make me want to see more. But I think they could make the story & character development much stronger. Perhaps fewer commercials would give the writers a better crack at storylines. And it would be cool to see Hasselhoff have a regular role in the series somehow.

filmed in HD? I didn't even notice. Of course I'm still on a NTSC boob tube.
RED One would be a great camera choice for this show.
