Roy Scheider 1932 -2008

Yes we have lost another great.

From his legendary roles in Jaws, Blue Thunder, French Connection, Naked Lunch (weird movie) & his role in one of my favorite tv shows of the 90s, SeaQuest, Roy Scheider will Join Heath Ledger on the list of lost Hollywood greats in early 2008. I'm sure they will both get a great tribute during this years montage during the Oscars.

They may, however not be listed until 2009's In Memoriam, since they passed early this year. (not sure where their cutoff is, but I always thought it encompassed Jan-Dec of the previous year)

As huge of a headline Heath's Death was, I don't know how they can NOT post something up in this year's Oscars. Fans will be expecting it. I would be one of them.

Now Roy, he may slip by to next year.

He'll definitely be mentioned, but we know he will be next to last with Heath Ledger having a large one a kin to people like Jack Lemmon or Pallance.
