That loveable time of year is upon us once again, and I can't think of a better gift than to get my wife a new vacuum cleaner for Valentines day.

Her old best friend just doesn't suck as hard anymore, so its time she get a new one. I just finished one bedroom with hardwood floor, and I have one left to go. CAn anyone recommend a vacuum I should be looking at?

LOl, this has been the worst winter in a while. I had to by a snowblower...we've had 4 major snowfalls so far...with about 14 inches everytime...Mama nature will do what she must

The swiffer is not animal friendly from what I hear. We have 2 cats and 2 small dogs.

I'm just looking for a vacuum she can use for hardwood floors. My house was built in the 1800's, Lots of character, and lots of reno's to do....which is good, cause I can change things to the way we want it to be. The previous owners did a lot of work before, but I find myself redoing some of the half-assed jobs they did.....anywho...., there is still some original hardwood flooring that have been refinished. Just need a good vacuum to get all the dirt between the cracks

Dyson actually has a bad rating in consumer reports. They test all that shit pretty well. if its bad. there is a reason for it.

neither do I. but I happened to get a free "subscribe to us!" clipping from consumer reports in the mail the other day. They happened to have a vacuum tidbit on the big dollar Dyson. So I figured I'd share.

Yes, because she knows I'll bring her flowers out of the blue, or any other personal gift when she'll least expect it. She knows I love her so She'll be happy with any gift I give her on "Valentine's day."

Doing things out of the blue goes a lot further than expecting something on Valentine's day

The nicest surprise I got for Valentines from her was ...well, ...I can't explain it here on a public forum

Valentine's day in the States sounds nice. In japan it's the day girls give chocolates to their boyfriends. (and for some reason, March 14th is known as the White day here, men give candies or marshmallows to their girlfriends.)
