Ok Firstly I would love to see hotrod,I'm sorry though we must part company when it comes to being rodimus.I would love to see him take over for prime.also as for where you guys heard we learned one thing not to do is kill prime.It was from the movie tf cartoon.on the dvd bonus features.the directors and animators talk about the death scene and how they had no idea of the impact.they didn't realise prime had become such a icon,and didn't learn till later that he was nearly irreplacable.so as for prime being killed they might possibly do that but I think he'l probably get beaten up pretty badly at one point.It does seem bay to a certain extent is trying to stick along the guidlines of the old cartoon movie so far.

I'd love to see Hot Rod-kind of one of those dream characters for me to see made into live CGI actually.

Btw-I'll never get why everyone whines about Rodimus Prime (ha and call him whiney)...I think he did a good enough job and admit it, if you were all of a sudden Autobot leader you'd be much the same (if not less brave).

I don't like him, but I won't be horrified if he does appear. I'm kinda neutral, though I must admit he was a little annoying in the '86 film.

He might be a bit more bearable in TF2 if they recast Judd Nelson as his voice actor, though.

i think if there are to be any characters that were introduced in the animated film that Hot Rod should be among them. I personally rather like Hot Rod and Rodimus possibly because the animated film was really my first real introduction to G1. As a fan and owner of a Pontiac Firebird my hope is that GM brings back the TransAm/Firebird and a suped up version will be cast as Hot Rod with the autobot symbol emblazoned on the Firebird symbol like i have in my avatar. I do agree that Hot Rod should not take command and become Rodimus in the live films.

... I take back what I said earlier, big time. After rewatching the '86 film, I think I can safely say that I'd rather gouge out my own eyes with a rusty tablespoon than see Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime in the second film or even the third.

Unless, of course, he uses the universal greeting... in which case I'll be grinning like the Cheshire Cat on crack.
