Transformers aspect ratio/IMAX

Was Transformers shot in anamorphic or spherical?

I ask only because if it was shot anamorphic the IMAX screen is not 2.35:1

Well, that was my question some weeks ago.
But... not that I'm an expert or anything, but aren't all those big Hollywood blockbusters shot "simultaneously " in all kind of different formats?
As far as I can remember from my only screening of a movie in Imax it was shown in "fullscreen" (4:3) although the movie also was cinemascope in cinemas.
All I can hope for is, that movies like Transformers are shown in 2:35 but with a black letterbox because the 4:3 format sucks so much (looks horrible for movies).

It was shot using a combination of Anamorphic and Super 35.
