dvd to ipod

does anyone know of a program that will convert dvd's into a file for ipod or mpplayer use that is good?

personally I use mactheripper then if drag the video folder to VisualHub... which isn't a free program... not sure they they have a windows version.

Cucusoft dvd to ipod video converter suite works fine.

DVD Decryptor does a great job of ripping movies to your hd but it will contain the dvd files but it is probably the best program to rip a dvd. It lets you rip the movie only and be region free. It burns it as well. FREE FREE FREE - do not pay for this. It was released as a free download and only scammers make you pat for it. If you cant find it let me know. It is an underground tool so if you find it keep it. Latest final version is 3.5.4.0

3gp converter ... you have to dl a ripper first though. That converter will turn an mpg4 into a gd mpg or win media format. GREAT PROG!


EDIT: Dev is right: DVD decrypt is the prog I use with 3gp converter.

There is a free program called Handbrake that does this in one punch.

Available for Mac and PC.
