    Default Nightwish

So Nightwish's new CD is freakin awesome. Love their new singer. As much as I liked the old one it's nice to see someone not so operatic. It gives the band the ability to grow a little more in what they do musically. Their stuff is a bit heavier now.

Someone here has got to like Nightwish! haha The first track off their new album is pretty freakin epic. It's 14 mins long and amazing!

    Check it out here:

LISTEN TO THE ENTIRE SONG! And people not privy to this genre might dig it.

A friend on You Tube is totally obsessed with this stuff... he won't stop sending me Nightwish vids...
It has a real medieval fantasy feeling to it... Goblins, Wizards and Elves... it's kinda OK... if you like that kind of music

I listened to Nightwish years ago, then as most bands they just went completely the wrong direction, like Cradle of Filth (completley different I know, but, goes with what im trying to explain). Brilliant-losing it-gone. Now they bore me, which is a shame I used to love them.

And losing Tar.... well, lol.... just well.

I love the old stuff, still not to sure about the new album but I will most likely get it to give it a fair chance.

yah, the first part sounded medieval...then it went heavy, and when she started singing, it sounded like the opening them from robotech or gundam

I take back everything I said about losing Tarja.... as much as I loved her, ANETTE ROCKS

I cannot stop listening to the track Amaranth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT

And whatever anyone says about Anette's 'pop' qualities can go to hell, as far as I am concerned this is NIGHTWISH, and I'm fucking loving every second I hear of them right now. and that means no less to Tarja.

(wow compare my previous post to this, i really musta changed my mind LOL)

As much as I love Tarja...you can really only take so much of the operatic singing. I like what Anette brings. It allows the band to do heavier stuff.

I agree it allows them to bring a few things out tha are new and different for them. I think it'll go on for quite a while now. Still haven't saw them live though. sucks.

they came here in November, but I wasn't able to see them. Sadly though I've seen some live footage with Anette and she didn't sound do hot live. Maybe shes still getting comfortable in her role as lead singer of Nightwish. Whatever it was, the footage I saw didn't sound that great,

Anette's voice was a little strange for me but when I heard Amaranth, I completely changed my mind. Anette's voice is absolutely not bad, she's a completely different singer.

I made a Transformers fan video with Amaranth. I hope, you'll find it entertaining.

    Thank you very much
The movie Soundtrack was a letdown for me, the only song I really liked on the album is Linkin Park's What I've Done... I hope the next film's soundtrack will be better. Fingers crossed for a Nightwish song.

    Luca Turilli's Dreamquest

    Gothic Vision
    Dreamquest

    Stratovarius

Destiny (maybe the best song of this band)

    Sonata Arctica

    Don't Say A Word
    Paid in Full (Radio Edit)

Rhapsody (some people says the lyrics are cheesy, but the music is awesome)

    The Dark Tower Of Abyss
    Guardiani del Destino
The Wizard's Last Rhymes (Dvorak cover)

    Luca Turilli

    Mother Nature
    Kings of the Nordic Twilight

    Epica

    Trois Vierges
    Mother of Light

    Avantasia

    The Tower

    Blind Guardian

Time Stand Still (At the Iron Hill)

    Lost Horizon

    Cry of a Restless Soul

    Angra

    Carry On

    Kamelot

    The Fourth Legacy
    Across The Higlands

Dragonforce (try this in guitar hero LoL)

    My Spirit will go On

    Vision Divine

Meh, they kinda suck really. Not my taste and the lyrics are flat and never put me in any kind of mood or speak to me in any way. Sounds like a bunch of shit from an anime movie or something. Oh well, people like what they like in music. I'm sure I like stuff no one else does.
