Default Funny e-mail, Starscream would do it differently

I was forwarded this e-mail, which I found amusing. However, what would happen if instead of a Marine Jet, it's Starscream who is clocked speeding. He likely would not show the same restraint as the Marines, I would think.

    ________
Top this for a speeding ticket: Two California Highway Patrol Officers were conducting speeding enforcement on I-15, North of MCAS Miramar. One of the officers was using a hand held radar device to check speeding vehicles approaching near the crest of a hill. The officers were suddenly surprised when the radar gun began reading 300 miles per hour.
The officer attempted to reset the radar gun, but it would not reset and turned off. Just then a deafening roar over the treetops revealed that the radar had in fact locked onto a USMC F/A-1 8 Hornet which was engaged in a low flying exercise near the location. Back at the CHP Headquarters the Patrol Captain fired off a complaint to the USMC Base Commander.

Back came a reply in true USMC style: Thank you for the message, which allows us to complete the file on this incident. You may be interested to know that the tactical computer in the Hornet had detected the presence of, and subsequently locked onto your hostile radar equipment and automatically sent a jamming signal back to it. Furthermore, an air to ground missile aboard the fully armed aircraft had also automatically locked onto your equipment. Fortunately the Marine Pilot flying the Hornet recognized the situation for what it was, quickly responded to the missile system alert status and was able to override the automated defense system before the missile was launched and your hostile radar was destroyed. Thank you for your concerns.

    That made me giggle.

    Thanks for sharing.

And maybe Bay can use that in the next movie. That'd be hilarious!

too bad radar guns and jet fighters don't work that way... so no..... no he can't.

P.S. If that sounded a little rude, I'm sorry. but I am really tired of my suspension of disbelief being totally and utterly crushed by seeing thing like that.
    ... so yeah, sorry

It would still be a great Idea for the movie...Who cares if that's not how it works in real life......Starscream is a "transformer." He can lock onto the radar

Besides the scene in the first film where Mikaela cut Freny apart with a sawzall.....well, all I can say is that nobody "chops" with a reciprocating saw lmao

The pool scene where Ironhide crashed....well, that's an easy one too..........it still had water in it, LOL

Scene One: Two cops are hanging around in their patrol car on speeding duty, when suddenly instead of showing cars going 75 MPH, the rate skyrockets to 1200 MPH.
"What do you 'reckon' would cause the speed radar to go off like that?"
    "Must be a glitch..."

Transition to Scene Two: Starscream is talking to himself, notices the radar detector warning, further bunch of bells and whistles going off--

"So those puny humans are tracking me...let's see how well they track this!!!"---And let's out a barrage of four heat-seekers.

Scene Three: Cops spill coffee upon seeing missles, barely avoid utter devastation, unlike their car. Starscream then transforms to confront one of the officers, "why are you using primitive radar to track me?" Cop replies in trembling voice, "Wwwweeeee use it see if cars are speeding.."

Starscream stops from replying after thinking about this alien concept of 'speeding'...He then just laughs maniacally, before throwing the officer to the ground..."These humans actually try to stop machines from going at the most efficient rate? They clearly are too inferior to bother with, why Prime insists on protecting them is beyond me..."

Well I care. it's this type of brainless crap that takes me out of my realm of disbelief. it's a sad fact that movies are made for idiots but I would like to see at least a few that didn't insult my intelligence.

If Mikaela chopping at Frenzy with a saw, and Ironhide, Were the only things you cough, you missed a lot.

    1. Guy crawls out from under Prime when he hit the street.
    2. the bus would not explode like that.
    3. the wall Sam is on explodes INTO FLAMES when Megatron hits it.
    4. Frenzy mass shift to fit into his cell phone form.
    5. the sliding bike scene was laughable
    6. Buffalo's mine forks are only about a foot wide.
    7. Sam probably had broken ribs after hitting Prime's foot.
    8. Mikaela, was holding on to Sam's SLEEVE for dear life. the only way the wires would have been more obvious is if we could actually see them
    9. Mikaela was boring... nothing wrong with that, it just pissed me off.
    10. countless inconsistances such as the closed door on Bumblebee and Sam being on the ground, on his feet, and on the ground again, before Bumblebee.

    I could probably find more.

as for Ironhide, I could see there still being water in the pool. Even if the pool broke, only so much of the water could soak into the ground. and the heat would not be enough to evaporate it all. remember, they didn't come down like meteors.

radar guns have a line of sight that is at max 1.6 kilometers. the cops would see what they were reading. also, even though, SOME radar guns actually use RADAR, they don't have a lock capability. Starscream would prabobly be able to tell that he was being pinged by radar or lazer, but I doubt he would read it as a threat. even if he did want to do something about it, he would only have a .99 of a mile to react.

also the scene you describe would seem to me to slow down the story rather than help it. it is humorous, but not what I would want to see in the next film.

to the both of you. if you want to know why I'm like this, go watch the movie Torque.

Dude, the whole point of movies is to get away from reality. Nothing in those movies have to be real. Just enjoy them. Relax. Don't be so nitpicky.

As for Torque...I'll add it to the netflix queue.

LOL, I know there was a lot more, I wasn't gonna get anal and list every last detail.......If you want to get technical............transformers aren't real

I still think the pool would be empty..........did you not see the way prime hit the stadium with such force when he landed????

...about the bus exploding thing....you need to watch a movie called "Top Secret" ...There's a funny bit about an exploding jeep. Also, the motor shown from bumbleebee wasn't the real motor in the car.

Some things you just gotta take in stride, and let it go

Agreed....besides, compared to a movie like 'Face-off,' Transformers is almost a bloody documentary...a friend of mine left the movie theatre, said Face Off was too unbelievable for him to have a suspension of disbelief while watching the movie, so he left...He had a point. Give Bay credit for trying to make Transformers sound believable while you're watching the movie in the theatre.

that is not the point of a movie. A movie is meant to entertain. they may take use out of the real world, but how could they do that if they are not believable. when you write a story, you create a world. that world like, this one, has rules. gravaty, physics, the limitation of the human body, and others, are all rules that are set to be followed. In Harry Potter, it is a rule that he can do magic, so his limitations are not the same as ours in the real world. In the up coming Speed Racer, it is a rule that cars don't act on the same physics as ours.

however, in the movie Daredevil there is no reason for people to jump 20 feet in the air. How would it look in Transformers if Sam jumped 20 feet in the air? yet in Spider-man that kind of feat is the norm.

I think too many directors say, "it looks cool." when they should ask, "does it look right." cause in the end, if it looks right, it is right.

as a viewer, I DON'T HAVE TO TAKE JACK SHIT. now that may a little loud and rude, and it is not meant to be. but I can't make it clear enough, that the view has no obligation to make the movie make since or take things in stride, or ignore imperfections. In movies it is the Director's and other production team's responsibility to sell the story.

In fact I have every right in the world to stop watching at any given time and say it is a horrible movie. hell, I don't even have to watch the thing.

now in regards to the pool and Transformers not being real, I will say again. If it looks right, it is right.

Totally agree. for what Transformers is, it is very believable. what kept it form being a great movie, was the story and story tell. sector 7 didn't help either.

I couldn't care less about some of the things on my list... never the less they are wrong... even if they don't hurt the movie.
