Well, it's gonna sound like Ben Affleck. If I recall correctly, his voice was the same all the time in Daredevil. So if it worked with Daredevil, that nobody recognized his voice when he wore the suit, then why wouldn't it work with Batman as well...

Ben as Batman? I guess there's no room in the hospitals today because of the many hardcore fanboys with heart attacks.

Personally, I'm glad Ben will be in another big summer movie. It's been a while since the last one. Knowing how many people hate him, and knowing how cherished Batman is among these DC fanboys, I'm not surprised by the angry/hateful tweets and all these Facebook groups against him.

Speaking for myself, I've always liked Affleck and it's always great to see his name on a film project. Not only he's nice, down-to-earth guy in real life, but as far as I'm concerned he's a very good actor as well (yes, yes, I know a lot of people will disagree with the last one).

Anyway, I'm now actually looking forward to the Superman/Batman movie. I'm sure Ben will do just fine. The man is not a moron and he knows very well that this is an important role. But unfortunately it's not gonna be an easy ride for him. It's just a matter of time before the militant Bat-fans start sending death threats.

I'm sorry, but the only good thing I see about this is that I won't have to hear Bale's Batman voice ever again.

If I heard these news few years ago I would have been very disappointed. In recent years my opinion have significantly improved about him. Too bad that he'll have to get rid of the beard.

You'd think the fans would be used to this by now. I seemed to have recalled them throwing a fit when Michael Keaton was cast for the role.

When this movie comes out I'm gonna buy the Bluray, then I'm gonna sit at home watch Daredevil (again) with this movie back-to-back. And it's gonna feel like it's the continuation of Daredevil, except that he's traveled to the DC dimension and is now with Superman.

It's mentioned all the time when controversial casting choices like this are made, but maybe hard evidence will make a stronger point: http://i.newsarama.com/images/i/000/...jpg?1377268256

So long as he can pull off a better Batman than George Clooney. For those who forced themselves to Forget:

People keep bringing this up, and yes he obviously wasnt the best Batman, but Clooney was close to the bottom of the list of things that were wrong with that movie.

Here's a little bit of detail on how Ben Affleck came across the role of Batman.

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the process began earlier this year when director Zack Snyder had finished working on Man of Steel with producer Christopher Nolan. Snyder and the studio already had ideas for a follow-up, and Snyder reached out to Affleck to check the star’s interest.
But Affleck was curious, and initial talks focusing on story and character began. Once Affleck was satisfied, WME’s Patrick Whitesell and Ziffren Brittenham’s Sam Fischer began negotiating his role in the Superman sequel. Sources say that Affleck has been signed for multiple other movies. The talks were so secretive that many Warner execs and most WME agents remained unaware of their existence.

There’s a lot of speculation that Ben Affleck may even direct the new solo Batman movies after 2015′s Batman vs. Superman. He loves to star in movies that he directs… just look at The Town or Argo.
Affleck directing the next solo Batman films would be weird. He's a good director and all, but I don't think his style would fit a huge summer action blockbuster.

The only thing that was really, really well done in that movie (and I would say perhaps the best of all Bats movies)... was the LOGO

No matter who WB chooses, fans are going to hate. I'm going to laugh so hard if Ben Affleck's performance makes everyone's jaws drop like Ledger did.

I find this casting unusual, and I'm somewhat skeptical, but I'm willing to give it a chance. I've liked Affleck in a number of his movies, and I do tend to give Nolan, Goyer, and (now) Snyder the benefit of the doubt. Affleck has really impressed as a director, and I enjoyed his acting in Argo, but I'm just not sure that he will end up being the BEST choice. However, I was skeptical of Ledger as the Joker, and that turned out pretty damn awesome. So we shall see.

Seeing his new beard in those article makes me think he could really pull off a batman. No, really now, I think Ben Affleck might be a better pick than most of us realize. Only because he stars (starred) in alot of movies where he is portrayed as the cliche cool guy with a pretty face doesnt mean he is not capable of performing a different kind of character and getting a different feel of himself across. Abit of make up to make him look older, maybe a slightly greyed out beard and bam, you have a great Batman that looks the part. And if you really look at him... he kind of does look like Bruce Wayne from the comics and stuff, doesnt he? Moreso than Bale. Also, he can act, he has proven that in quite a few movies.

Im sure the guys behind the decision also pretty much know what they are doing and which guys are good for what part - I mean, they surely arent doing this a marketing move or something.

So apparently, Justin Timberlake, the guy who used to be in N-Sync, the guy who just won a bunch of awards at this year's VMAs, the guy who played Sean Parker in The Social Network and Dylan in Friends with Benefits, wants to play The Riddler in the Batman Superman movie.

    Hoooow interesting.

A few days ago Justin Timberlake was a guest on Fresh 102.7′s “Jim & Kim” radio show to promote his new movie Runner Runner. Ben Affleck happens to be his co-star in that movie, so naturally the hosts asked Timberlake what he thought ofAffleck as Batman. Of course, Timberlake said that he liked the news. The hosts then asked if Timberlake would be the Robin to Affleck’s Batman in 2015′s Batman vs. Superman. Timberlake didn’t like that idea, but explained who he would like to play…
Not a chance in hell. I ain’t playing Robin. I have no aspiration to ever be a superhero in a movie. I just don’t. Now villain! I’ll tell you the villain I want to play more than anything because I grew up loving Batman, funny enough, is The Riddler. The Riddler is my favorite villain. The Riddler was like a sociopath. He was like proper crazy. So if I’m gonna play crazy, I want to play like proper crazy. I’m ready. The Riddler.
Obviously the odds of Timberlake playing The Riddler in Batman vs. Supermanare very slim… but what if Ben Affleck does end up directing and starring in the next solo Batman movie. Would you be happy if he cast his Runner Runner co-star as The Riddler?

Also, it's been said that the mighty Christopher Nolan will go from being executive producer to having no involvement with this movie at all. That is a real bummer!

    @ swish

PLEASE no more recycled villains! There are a bunch of other Bats villains in the comic books that would be interesting to see in movie form -- Killer Croc or Man-Bat would really kick a$$ when done in CGI

    killercroc.jpg

    Batman-Arkham-City-Sequel-Man-Bat1-500x263.jpg

The ONLY problem I see with Killer Croc, is that it would be too reminiscent of the villain Lizard in the Amazing Spider-man movie. And some fans who doesn't know the character may think it's a ripoff.

Man Bat however is a different story. It could really work out well in the movie verse. And then the story could lead to the introduction of the Vampire Bat!

Would also be nice if they make either one of these two guys appear in the end credits of Man of Steel 2, to set up Justice League for Man of Steel 3.

    Arrow_Costume_Final_S.jpg

    green-lantern-movie-costume-image-ryan-reynolds-02.jpg

Arrow could break into Wayne Enterprise and Batman intercepts thinking it's a burglar. They fight and it's a dead even match. Arrow then explains to Batman that he's no burglar. Something like that.

So any of you think that Superman still stand a chance against Batman who's wearing a Green Lantern ring?
