To be honest I liked Megan until 1-2 years after ROTF. Then came the plascic surgery and she looks much worse now.
Still hiring her is a clever move.

Well put me in the minority, because my opinion of her hasn't changed one bit since ROTF. And (SPOILER ALERT), it ain't a good one.

Megan Fox as April O'Neil? No thanks. I may not be a TMNT fan, but I am familiar with the April character, and in my humble opinion, Megan doesn't fit the roll.

Of course, I never really cared for this movie to begin with. Just because Bay's name is in the production credits doesn't mean I'm interested. (To this day, I still haven't seen a single PD film. They're simply not my thing.) I'm more interested in a Bay produced movie when Bay is behind the camera.

You guys have your fun with this one, I'll be waiting in line for Pain & Gain.

April O'Neil from the cartoon was just a reflection of the huge boob(s) hype of the late 1980's - 1990's (Bay Watch '89, TMNT '89.)

But i do agree her eyebrows look ridiculously well epilated :/ (or it's photoshopped) Megan do something about that please or else i'm gonna stare at them through the whole movie ok. :P

Megan Fox as Irma - definitely a much better fit and plus she won't have that much screen time and won't get top billing
Megan Fox as Kara - not very believable but I'll settle for that

Other better choices:

Anna Kendrick, Jennifer Lawrence, Teresa Palmer, Anna Kendrick, Emma Stone, Scarlett Johannson, Ann Hathaway

i think she will be a great April.. as long as the movies focus is on the turtles! it should not be focused on some april- casey love story or something like that with turtles as background characters.. hope there is no casey jones!

can't wait for the rest of the cast to be revealed! if filming is starting in april, they should announce everything soon!

Actually, this is a fantastic point.

Think about the influence the TF source material had on the movies. Very, very few things carried over. While I loved the movies more than most TF continuities, it wasn't faithful to anything.

So if she is actually playing April, there's already enough similarities to have her play the character. She's a female. She's white. She's in her mid/late twenties. She's thin.

That's the groundwork right there.



Now, personally, I think Fox is a sub-par actress, but really, there are many worse choices. There are certainly better choices, but imagine Kristen Stewart, or the chick from Magic Mike. Hell, even Isabella Lucas. Frick, no thank you. At least Fox can pretend to be sweet.
