It does look like the theme is for everything to be "out of place"

there are a few perimeters I could have followed, but the ones I chose where 2 or more rodeo clowns in New York City, with a Motorcycle. All three elements that are chosen must contribute to the story, they can't be just thrown in.

Yet another backgrounds and props assignment. this we need to show someone walking to our dream car. (or car of interest.) I chose the legendary Dodge Powerwagon. I had trouble getting consistant reference so proportion is a little questionable at times. also all the images I had with human scale were relatively shorter than the man one I was emulating. As always I feel I could do with some more clarity, even if they are just pencils. The wheels in the last panel are a little off, but I personly liked the look of it so I didn't bother to correct it (even if it really isn't right).
feel free to dig into this one, as it seems I have been going around spewing venom today.

Ury, have you ever thought of asking for or applying at companies for story boarding. I know many direectors don't use them, but if it's good it just might inspire something. Or like Mcquarie (sp) it could be used to inspire an entire concept.
The only thing worse than stupid people are stupid people who bother me...

I'm a dog chasing cars. I don't know what I'd do if I caught one. I don't have plans. I just do things. I'm not a schemer.
I use a knife because guns are too quick. Otherwise, you can't savor all the emotions. You know who people are in their last moments.
I believe whatever doesn't kill you simply makes you... stranger.
the last one is my favorite. I love the contrast.
the jet is my least favorite. (as an art piece.) Although the subject is interesting the composition is that engaging.

Heres a new creation of mine. First attempt creating and HDR image from some old car show photos I took a while back.
(posted in two separate topics)
Yea that color was pretty much that rich & metallic. It has been sweetened a bit to really grab the highlights and shadows in the tone of the paint job.
And yes, you could do the same thing with your own camera. What it takes is bracketing when you shoot it. Which is basically taking multiple photos of the same exact shot but at different exposures to grab the widest dynamic range possible from the deep shadows and the bright highlights.
Then using Photoshop CS3 (not sure if CS2 has these tools or not) you combine the different exposures into an HDR photo. Its a bit more complicated then that. but best way to learn is to search HDR photography. there are plenty of sites that show you how.
There are also programs out there that will do the same specific thing if you don't Photoshop.
I can see you in the fender
now for my submission.
Edit. Wow, you can't read that at all. when I have some more time I will reload it along with another page I finished. sorry guys.
Edit again: I hate deviantart.com and if it wasn't such a standard my account would have remained unused. Damn you Deviant art.... Damn you.
Edit for a third time: got it fixed but the other page will have to wait.
