TF4 Music Thread

Hey guys,

Yesterday i asked Tiësto a question on Instagram but he deleted it. Of course it wasn't a smart idea to talk about it there but i thought this would be the most discreet way cause i don't know how to officially contact him.

I told him i was a Michael Bay fan and that TF4 is coming somewhere (2014-15 maybe 2016)
I asked him if he could work together with Michael and Steve on TF4 to do a few tracks maybe if he's up for it.. I said i liked that typical Americana feel to Michael's movies if he could blend his style with the Americana style in a OST way.. and if he wants to do something cool on the side he's more than welcome.
I dont want it to be just techno music it has to be in rhythm with the movie.
Maybe a combo of techno, rock, classical, and choral song maybe. Its gonna be a challenge but it'll be awesome.

This would be an awesome way to end Michael's journey with the Transformers franchise is a cool and unique way.

I hope Michael feels something for this..

I also like Daft Punk but don't know if that'll fit right.. Sounds a bit like cartoony-like techno with their music videos and such.. I think Tiësto might be good enough, he did great with the Pirates of the Carrabean track which was a sweet track back then.

I'm listening to the Dark Knight Rises - Bombers over Ibiza by Junkie XL (remix) which also sound badass IMO.

I found that track to be painful and it was subsequently deleted from my harddrive 10 seconds later. I don't get this dubstep. A few seconds of a track like that and I'm already tired of it. Had to leave the gym the other week when they were playing a horrible piece of crap "song".

I'd rather see the next film NOT to follow the "current trend".

And i understand what you mean after 10 seconds but you have to keep listening longer to get it.. Bombers over Ibiza has like 2 or 3 TDKR tracks mixed in there and i don't think it's dubstep btw.
Dubstep is much faster and cut off beats that are even shorter.
I guess you didn't grew up with a little techno?

I can listen to most music genres its no problem for me.. the only things i can't stand is that over the top screaming till your throat hurts music and to much classic thats only nice to listen to when your in a chique restaurant or when i'm 90 years old and wanna feel non-stop emotions and drama lol.

But seriously though, if you can not listen to two techno tracks or dubstep you have no right to judge about it. Listen first then judge and if you still don't like it or don't get it thats fine with me.

You may suggest another artist that you like.

IMO Transformers is changing and so could the music style a little bit. Its not as if the movie is gonna be smothered in this style of music thats for Michael to decide.
It was a logic decision to make cause techno is digital and were dealing with high-powered, high frequency robots that are high tech and such. 1+1=2

Btw i liked that TF1 and 2 dubstep remix that was awesome and loved the beats and all.

Hmm... I like those epic songs like Globus and Two Steps from Hell, but I love it even more when there's a rock or modern mix to that, somewaht similar to some of Kajiura Yuki soundtracks (Mezame it's an example of that kind of mixture but not for Transformers), but heavier. Well, it's hard to find songs like that, but it's great to see it on movies.

The Transformers live action film series got me into Linkin Park.

I love Linkin Park and give the credit to Michael Bay and his team.

Please consider.

also Castle of Glass wont happen cause that was the theme for the Medal of Honor: Warfighter game.. They even made a music vid for it.

I loved Linkin Parks song for Tf1 and 2.. The dotm one was depressing but it suited the movie so it was a good fit.

Hopefully they dont pick something dull and gloomy this time.

im down for dubstep as well.. It is after all made by recording sounds of transformers having sex.

Not a big fan of dubstep, I love it in videos like mentioned above, but not in any movie.

I'd be ok with another round of Linkin Park, "New Divide" (ROTF) has been my favorite and "Iridescent" (DOTM) was perfect ​for the Chicago scene when Sam and Epps where driving towards Chicago, it really set the mood.

Ah. Okay, I can see how dubstep might fit with a sci-fi movie like transformers. Though, I don't think it could hold its own for the entire movie. Perhaps a few segments at certain Decepticon moments (It makes me think of the 'Cons for some reason. Maybe because it's very cold, controlled sounding--like it lacks all the warmer emotions). It almost has a spooky, or scary sound to it, or this piece does. (and that's not a bad thing.)

Personally I love what Steve Jablonsky has done with the first three movies, and would be happy with him doing the next three, too.

The music should be heavy metal. I liked the first two songs that Linkin Park did for the movies. I didn't like the last one at all. And considering the fact that Linkin Park has changed their style of music from their first two albums, I don't know if they are the right ones to go to, to make the main soundtrack song for TF4. They might make it even more slower and depressing than the last one.
Since they are shooting in the desert, they should take a band that has roots in Arizona. Megadeth could just be the band to call for the job. Although they are now living in California and are considered a band from LA, their front man Dave Mustaine lived in Phoenix and made the city headquarters for Megadeth throughout the late ‘80s and early ‘90s. "Crush Em", that happens to be one of the best songs Megadeth has done, appeared on the Universal Soldier: The Return soundtrack. The main soundtrack song should be a real song with lyrics, so no Dubstep!!
