This the victory Michael Bay had promised us many years ago !!!
This is definitely fan made. You don't release a promo poster when there is no any particular events happening. Also it's very strange that the first site to report this is from Argentina.
Still it's nice that the posters in some way resembles the first promo poster of TF3 which also had a very fan made like look. And 2 years before the premiere is a bit too early for a poster. If they released this after a month (Comic-Con is then) then they would have scored more clicks.![]()
That is fan made, but it does look really cool!
You tell her we're not her pets, and we're not her toys! We're an advance, genius alien race just looking for a home!
I immediately stopped reading when they referred to TF3 as "Dark Side of the Moon."
The site that is quoted in the first post is not the one who first showed the poster, they just forwarded the news. So their ignorance is irrelevant to the poster.
The funny thing is that the site that first showed the poster (Cine1) a few weeks ago put out some posters of Wreck it Ralph which everybody thought were fake but then they turned out to be real. So what if indeed this is a leaked promo art for the upcoming Comic-Con. The resemblance with the TF3 promo poster is disturbing though.
By the way not many fan made posters get such huge vibe on the net. This one is all over the web now. So who knows....
P.S. Fake or not we have to agree that the tagline is pretty good. I like it.
Hard to say it's real or not.. why did they choose that view? A city with a river through it? And "evil will burn"??? I don't know...
To much is given away to stay safe with the movie, i wouldn't have given that away already..
When i Transform i release rockets with nanobot-viruses that destroys you from within... the fuel inside you will turn into acid, metal will melt instantly...
I'm a decepticon and my name is _____ All Hail Megatron!
If that is a real picture i hope that backround is cybertron. Spend 350 mil on budget total cybertron movie = make 1.5billion dollars and give fans the extra transformers they want!
i think its faker than a pornstars ti**ies..
its way 2 early, plus they have said it would be redesigns, reimagined.. so OP is not going to look the exact same..
i think we will only get the 1st poster towards fall 2013.. not 2 soon..
it is def fan made.. everyone on twitter is like its real.. lol
Op standing with the saying Evil will Burn.. lol no one is more evil than movie optimus prime! he had more kills than anyone in dotm.. if anyone should burn it should be him..
Evil is not defined by how many things you kill. Also, every single decepticon in DOTM killed more things than Optimus did in the entire trilogy. They basically wiped out the entire city.
Also, this poster is fake, seeing how its a stock image of Optimus, however, it is extremly well executed and the tagline has flair, too.
He's Starscream. Given that DOTM Optimus was every Decepticon's worst nightmare, no wonder he sees Optimus as evil.Originally Posted by Crainy

the way i see it, in dotm- sentinel and megatron were not evil, all they wanted to do was save cybertron really.. its prime who killed his own kind and sided with aliens (humans).. im sure if our planet was dying we would have no problem killing aliens if we had to, hell humans kill humans for land and a lot less..
I like optimus in the war for cybertron games, the books, the cartoons, i like optimus.. even in the 1st 2 movies.. but his actions in dotm didnt look like something optimus would do...
and sora is right, dotm was a nightmare! especially the ending for me.. i actually like rotf better than dotm..
Starscream is merely jealous of Optimus's raw power. We all know very well he wanted to slaughter Megatron and Sentinel himself so he can be leader.![]()
It's always a fan made poster when there's just Optimus standing like that lol.
"My story is of many thousands, and the world will not suffer if it ends too soon."
Some of you who say that it looks fake are forgetting something. The TF3 poster that I posted above looks very identical to this one and it was not a fan made. It was real and it was used at some events early on. Even the poster was spotted on set as a cover of Michael's folder.
Don't get me wrong, I also think it's fan made but not because it looks fake.
And you can never be too sure with this things. With so many delayed movies from Paramount maybe they'll want to tease us with this on Comic-Con, though definitely this doesn't fit with the reimagining idea. Or they can just use it as a promo cover of some movie stuff, which doesn't necessarily mean that Optimus will look like this in TF4 (as it is in the above picture )
Damn, I really want to outcounter your argument right now and I could, easily, but its just so much writing, so sorry. So ill just say this: What separates and always separated the Autobots from the Decepticons and the Optimus Prime from the Decepticons was always truly this: It wasnt that they did not kill, it was who they killed. That is the major lesson that is taught in DOTM and that even Transformers Prime builds up on - what it truly means to be a Prime and understanding that responsibility. That sometimes, violence is (sadly) the only answer.
To complete that thought, ill just leave you with one of my all time favorite quotes out of all of Transformers and fiction in general:
"We cannot let the humans pay for our mistakes" - Optimus Prime
P.S: I HATE HATE HATE saying "hes evil and hes good". Because, its always a matter of perspective.
Looks awesome, although I'm agreeing with those who say it's fake. It seems a bit too early to release even a teaser poster.
I hate haters...
Because "Dark of the Moon was f*cking robbed."
However, there are evidence supporting the poster as well.
1) It originates from a site famous for leaking Teaser Posters.
2) Licensing Expo 2012 just concluded. If you all can remember, Hasbro debut the DOTM teaser poster (the one Albershide posted on this thread) at the 2010/11 Expo.
3) Speaking of which, the poster looks mighty similar to the TF3 teaser poster from the said expo.
4) Hasbro pull off these kinds of posters for promotional purposes (Recent example: G. I. Joe: Retaliation. Everybody thought it was a fake fan made one until Hasbro confirmed it to be official).
But this does look fake. We'll have to wait till we get more solid confirmation. I'll see what I can do.
