My Botcon 2012 experience

Well this past April was my first Botcon experience and I have to say it was awesome. I got to meet so many people and I also entered one of my art pictures into the 2D digital art contest and it won 1st place which was awesome.


I also got to meet several of the voice actors which was sooo cool

thanks it was so cool to win, and I got so many nice compliments on it. I am also wearing the autographed tshirt I got from Joe and it was funny when Peter saw it he recognized it immediately hehe

thanks, the bot in question in the artwork is a re-envision of the yellow rainmaker that was seen in the G1 episode Divide and Conquer. I gave him the name Novastorm to make him stand away from Sunstorm who was for the longest time confused for the yellow rainmaker due to his colors. I also have the Blue one done with the same new design and we named him Stormfront, and I am also working on a pic of Acid Storm.

thanks, yeah it was and I hope to go again but next year I will be moving out to Oregon so it will probably be the year after and I was also asked to help with some of the special tshirts Timothy Lim has for a fundraiser that goes to the Hasbro Childrens Hospital so hopefully if things go right when I do go back I may be at a booth helping with this fundraiser. so I am pretty excited

The first t-shirt that was done was in honor of Peter Cullen and looked like this, minus the words. This image was the resulting accomplishments of this past fundraiser. I will be doing the colors for some future "Voice of a Generation" t-shirts

I've been at 2 comic cons and expos this year in my city but too bad there's no Botcon in Albuquerque

In the cartoon the three rainmakers were flourecsent in colour, bright green yellow and pink.


I think if they put rainmakers in the new comics we might see some designs being lifted lol

thanks guys and yeah I know the color scheme they had in Divide and conquer it was rather *Bright* lol anyways I wanted to give them a new look and when me and my good friend Betsy (Cascadia) started on the project it was just for fun but then Hasbro approached us for more designs and stuff so now I have a bit more on my plate with them I am also gonna be pulling together the back story we put together for them and will be sending it to Simon Furman for his opinion which I'm very excited about
