I'm in...even though I'll always be on Team Brosnan.
Love Craig, the man is doing a good job with the character and I'll gladly pay to see the new movie...but Brosnan's Bond has a special place in my heart (same for Connery).
"You know why the departures and the arrivals at LAX are on separate levels? So the 30,000 heartbreakers that come here each month don't notice the 30,000 that are leaving with their hearts broken."
I love Craig's Bond (the first one is a classic)! For me Brosnan's movies are in a different category -improbable stories with sci-fi elements.Still I have to agree that they were fun to watch. The new series are more real, brutal with great stories.
I'm concerned though about the rumors that very soon Sam Worthington will replace Daniel Craig as the next Bond. Hope he does at least two more.
Agreed on Craig. Although, hopefully they step up their villain game.
Count me as a Brosnan fan too. Namely Goldeneye (and the classic game that accompanied it). Even though each of his Bond films got "so-so" for me, (but who's Bond didn't?) he definitely carried Bond in the 90's.
I grew up in the Roger Moore years, so nostalgia runs high on some of his films. Lazenby and Dalton weren't in the role long enough (or in memorable ones) to really feel like Bond, personally. And they all ultimately answer to Connery.

Looking good so far!

If you watch the vid I just posted above you will see it at 0.33. I don't think anything is gonna happen to it as it is a symbol of Bond pretty much. Whenever you think of a Bond car,I would think the DB5 would be first in mind. It was used in 5 bond flicks. No other car was used that much.

If you are referring to the DB5 that sold for $4.6 mil, that was the car used in Goldfinger & Thunderball.Featured in five films (Goldfinger, Thunderball, GoldenEye, a small appearance in Tomorrow Never Dies, and Casino Royale – to this list can be added The World Is Not Enough, though shots of the DB5 being driven to MI6's Scottish HQ were cut, leaving its only appearance a confusing satellite image at the end of the film[

They also have a DB5 in a James Bond car museum.

Despite it is in England,I would love to go there some day. I have a better chance of going to the one opening just south of Chicago soon.

Saw it.
Two words - absolutely spectacular. As far as I'm concerned it's one of the best action films of 2012. Can't say much because I don't want to spoil it for you folks, but do yourself a favor - watch it on the biggest screen possible. You won't be disappointed, especially if you're a Bond fan. But even if you're not a fan of the character you'll still have a great time. It's just a very well made action film.
Sam Mendes did a damn good job with it. Highly recommended.

So looking forward for this. Won tickets for the screening here on Friday. WHich is cool cause I wanted to see it twice anyway.
There was an article by ARRI the other day and an interview with the cinematographer that they shot in Arriraw and it is supposed to look amazing on IMAX screen. But unfortunatly they only show dubbed movies here in IMAX. So I have to go twice. Once for the film and once for the IMAX picture. But I am really curious how it will look differently.
"Michael Bay is made out of rainbow powder"
Happens rarely, but I'm honestly surprised. Pretty much all people around me (friends, co-workers, family) hate that movie. And many of them are Bond fans. The most common complaints are "not enough Bond action", "only one epic sequence", "not enough Bond girls", "predictable cyber villain", "homosexual overtones", "no cool gadgets" and on and on...
As a Bond fan I'll admit that "Skyfall" is not as action packed as "The World is not Enough" for example, but I still think that it's a very well-crafted movie. Oh well, different people, different opinions...

I think as a Bond movie, it works. The part that really sold it as a 007 film for me was Shanghai. The colors, the lighting, that casino with the komoto dragon pit, freakin' exotic.
James Bond doesn't always have to be the over-the-top spy flick with the evil bald guy petting his cat in his volcano fortress. The movie goes so far as to address the over-the-top stuff. Exploding pens would be impractical, and a simple gadget like a freakin' radio can do wonders. More importantly, one of the movie's central themes was whether or not the world still needs guys like James Bond. And the answer to that is "yes," but a 21st century Bond that will fight 21st century villians using 21st century means. This ain't your parent's 007, folks. Get used to it.
