Now lets see what happens when we switch them around. The TFs become the avengers and we them have more screen time and character development. Sam and the crew become IM gf and co. If avengers didnt concentrate on the avengers it wouldnt have been as good as it was? Do you think if TFs did follow the avengers line it would have done even better?? Missed opportunity....

Do you know what "character development" means? And do you know what "character interaction" means? I certainly don't remember seeing "Capote"-style character development in "The Avengers". Character interaction, yes, and it was fun watching that.

But character development in the traditional sense?

No.

Do you think if TFs did follow the avengers line it would have done even better??

Plus, "The Avengers" in its core is a typical action film - good guys vs. bad guys, ending in a big city. Good guys win. It's certainly not something we haven't seen before.

No, DOTM would not have been better if it was more like the Avengers. DOTM is fine as it is and I actually dont think these two movies can be compared that much as many think they can. They might be superficially similar, but are quite different in their core.

Indeed there are many similarities. The biggest one for me was when Captain America was running and jumping over the wrecked cars on the street. Exactly the same scene and camera move as the one when Shia's stunt was running toward Dylan jumping above and sliding below cars.

Its more character time on screen. Q and Mirage who are they? the wreckers etc

But for most part DOTM was great.

I most definitely think Transformers is much better than Avengers. The concept is just wayy better. I mean, sure, avengers is cool and stuff, but i have to admit, I'm not a huge fan.
