Actually Let The Right One In with it's american version Let Me In and the 2009 Korean vampire film Thirst beat that to it.

Battleship: A decent action movie but the singer who played the actress is terrible.

The Rocketeer: looks great on high def, i saw this 3 times in theaters when i was 9 when it came out and is one of my fave comic book based movies.

Inside Man - A really good bank robbery movie. The writing and acting was well done.

Safe House - Good fighting scenes but that's about it. It's a decent action flick.

The Grey-Good movie, but not as good as it could have been. Acting and cinematography was great, but the script could have used some rewrites.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy-Good movie as long as you're in the right mood. Don't expect action, but savor the period air and atmosphere along with quiet acting.

    MIB: 3.
It wasn't very good, was a bit too long and the 3D was just average and didn't do a damn thing to make it better. If you gonna see it, you can just as well save a couple of bucks and see it in 2D.

    The Grey - awesome!

Act of Valour - awesome! Big respect to all my fellow men and women down the range.

Prometheus - (spoiler free) - I've just came back from seeing it on an advance screening. Visually it's perfect, make sure to watch it in IMAX 3D. Best 3D since DOTM. I loved the score. The best one Streitenfeld did (I'm not fan of his previous works with Ridley). Fassbender was awesome, he would have been great as Robocop.
I won't say more I'm looking forward to the discussion after you guys see it because personally the movie raised more questions to me than answered. Or maybe it needs time to sit and rest in my mind.

I thought it opened in Bulgaria and other markets today (France, for example)?

I, on the other hand, still have to wait another 7 days. (sooo close now)

Yep, the premiere here is June 1 but there was one pre-screening the day before. I was very lucky to grab a ticket.

I just have one question. Do the trailers give away too much like I think they do?

Snow White. It was just okay. Would've been better if they'd chosen someone else to play Snow White. I can't stand Kristen Stewart. She is still a terrible actress, and she still has that crackhead junkie look as usual. They would've been better served picking a completely unknown actress.

Charlize Theron played the evil part well though.

Unfortunately yes. The main story is in the trailers, but if you managed to stay away form most of the spots and featurettes then there are still some surprises in store.

I feel like I've seen the movie already. Not only does it tell you where the Space Jockey ship is going, it tells you what happens then.

At least they don't tell you who the Space Jokey is and that's what the whole movie is about.

Prometheus. Call this a spoiler or not, but it's not a prequel to Alien from 1979. It takes place before Alien, but it's not a real prequel.
The movie raises just more questions than what it gives answers to. Then Ridley Scott made the same mistake that what George Lucas did with Star Wars. Technology goes backwards. In Star Wars they first have these streamlined aerodynamic silver colored ships in the first three movies and then they start to use these flying shoe boxes with 90 degree angles in the last three. Same thing with Prometheus. The android David, played by Michael Fassbender, is like Ferrari or a Lamborghini compared to Ash who's like a Trabant compared to David. The hyper sleep chambers are of the hook compared to the ones used in Alien and Aliens.
I'll give it a 3 out of 5 cause it's visually very well made and the 3D is Avatar and DOTM class. I forgot that I had the 3D glasses on when i saw it!
Now there's only one thing remaining. To see how much Prometheus makes at the box office world wide. If it makes a profit of a couple of hundred million dollars, then the production companies and 20th Century Fox will give Ridley Scott what ever he wants as long as he makes a sequel to Prometheus...

Prometheus: Saw an early screening and brings the franchise back to it's roots, very creepy and fun stuff that made Alien and Aliens enjoyable. Scott was right to return back to the genre as he is a genius with Alien and Blade Runner you know, the 3D is as good as Avatar, DOTM,

    Piranha 3DD:
Gory, gritty, sexy and funny sequel to an awesome remake, the 3D was cool and the ladies are hot. If you liked the first one, see this.

Real Steel - was a pleasent surprise. Pretty entartaining, nice story. Although the whole movie was so extreamly obvious, every sentence, every shot, every dialogue. But still enjoyable.

Due Date - this one was very fun!

Swedish The girl with the Dragon tattoo part1-2 - ohuh .... ewww... dunno. Its like a TV film. I like the Fincher-Mara version much much better.

Never let me go - great movie! The story and the idea is a whee bit similar to The Island. I like this type of utopias. Worth to whatch it!

Contraband - the script was very fictional. This would never work in real life. Still the movie was entertaining.

Red Tails - fantastic non stop action movie. I especially liked the joke about the way they called the fliers - colored:
"When you're angry you turn red - when you run out of air, you turn blue - when you grow envious you turn green, when you're afraid you turn yellow - and then you call us 'colored'? "

Act of Valor - best war movie in years. Very realistic.

Iron Sky - very disappointing. I knew it's ridiculous but at least I thought it would be really funny. Managed to smile once at the North Korea joke, everything else was boooooring.

Re: Star Wars. They have an explanation for that. Pre-clone wars tech was meant to be luxurious and streamlined. When the clone wars hit, everything was meant to be utilitarian and practical. If you watched each prequel, you'd notice that the starships and stuff gradually became more angular.

Same thing applies to Prometheus. Prometheus is a super advanced scientific vessel with some insane equipment. The Nostromo is essentially a giant dirty space truck piloted by space truck drivers.

Plus, I don't think people who have never seen Alien/Aliens would accept future computer graphics looking like they came out of the 70's. Personally, I'm fine with the way it is.

Battleship. Who'd a thought they could do so much with that game. There's a scene with War vets that is really awesome, anyone who's seen the movie will know what I'm talking about.

Prometheus (with spoilers): I have to say I have never seen any Alien movie before. But I admire some of Ridley Scott's movies and I admire the cast. And I am a sci-fi fan. So I had the chance to see the movie as a total new experience, without any previous expectations and prejudice. And I am very glad for that because I loved this movie. 9 out of 10 from me. I was affraid a little that it will be a very forced prequel. But luckily it felt that the movie is whole even if they dont continue it. Or it is perfect even if they will continue it. With reboots and prequels you always can feel that the main reason is to milk out as much as they can from the franchise. And that in every case works against the quality. And I am very very picky with this. Now I didnt feel this with Prometheus. I really liked the whole concept. I cant understand why people atatck the story and the screenplay. Okey it had some minor mistakes (but 80% of the screenplays have this many mistakes). I found the concept behind the movie. The idea of human kind searching for its creator and the simbolism of creation (let it be human creating robot, aliens creating humans, aliens creating other aliens, humans creating humans, any living form creating another living form) was really nicely implanted and then revealed throug the screenplay. It is aso very hard when you have a very exact message and to find that thin line of what you can put into a characters mouth and what for the camera and what is there for the audience to figure out. And the balance with this was so well done I could go on for hours about it... And what came really across was how much the creators love movies. There was such a strong love for movie making coming across, just simple joy. Which is funny cause in a way it is creation as well. So there even is a slight selv-reflection - which just adds another amazing simbolism level to it.
Then the visuals..wow.. saw it in 3D (unfortunatly IMAX is dubed here) and I really liked the simple cinematic confidence how Fincher approached 3D. He didnt overthink it just let the picture and composition speak for itslef. Me likes that. It was one of the most natural and well designed 3D movies I have ever seen. Oh and major kudos of combining visual effects with real sets and locations! And the third amazingness in this movie the cast. Fassbender did an amasing job with being a robot who wants to be human. Noomi did an amazing job with being extreamly human and feminine yet very powerfull, at the same time and so somehow portraying the ultimate woman. She has an amazing on screen chemistry. All the things that have irritated me about her in The Girl wiht the dragon tattoo now I loved.
Okey and... the abortion scene... that was mind blowing Hah and I really loved Elisabeth part from there.. she was basically just running and fighting with a huge stomach pain. First time I saw a really natural portreyal on screen of how it feels to have your period :lmao
And one last thing.. What I found fascinating was that audiences have seen so many of this tipical movies. You pretty much exactly know who iS going to survive, when you will be scared (okey this movie wasnt scary at all), pretty much what is going to happen but the hidden message was so exciting and it kept me thinking constantly that I was occupied and never bored for one minute.

Alien1-4: Well I thought it was time XD And I was ill so I had lots of time. Well hmm. Loved the first one. Nothing surprising. Liked the second one as well. But from there duh it gets so boring..... I think they just mainly ruined it with 4 things:
    - making it a rule that they always sleep for ages between parts
    - making it a rule that so much time passes
    - making it a rule that it plays within a fascility
    - killing the little child in part 3
And something very interesting... Alien1 - Ridley Scott Alien2 - James Cameron Alien3 -debute of Fincher Alien4 - screenplay by Joss Whedon. Like it is a must career stop for great directors (except Whedon thats just funny) to direct at least one Alien movie.

Young Adult: that movies is odd. It seems strangly boring and pointless at first look. But once you start thinking there might be so much into it. Like what if she just on purpose does all the things she does to experience anything jsut to write about it. Its either way psychotic ... dunno. Its a good movie. Its just odd.
