The story is not bad, just it asked like 20 questions and gave answers to none. Mainly that's the reason for the fans to bash the story. If you could answer some of those questions .....

I see that you're not fan of the previous movies but Ridley's initial idea with Prometheus was to give an explanation who is the Space Jokey is (The Engineer from the beginning of Alien) and what's the story of the Derelict ship. I personally started to think of Prometheus as something completely different from Alien and I'm eager to see the sequel which has to be full of answers. The writer of the sequel will have an enormous job if he wants to make everything work. By the way Damon Lindelof said that it's not necessary that he'll return for the sequel even he prefers some fresh blood. How convenient. : rol

Man on a Ledge - Absolutely loved the movie. Great pace, great twists, great performances (maybe except Sam Worthington). Ed Harris was awesome.

Safe House - nice movie, nothing memorable though.

Snow White and the Huntsman - we went with my wife and couple of friends on this. Everyone else liked it but I for no particular reason hated it. Kristen Steward was the miscast of the century for me. She just doesn't fit the character. The best thing was Charlize Theron and to my surprise Chris Hemsworth. Also I was pleasantly surprised that all of the dwarfs except one were actors that are not midgets and they were pretty famous too. (Bob Hoskins, Ray Winstone, Ian McShane, Nick Frost etc.) I doubt that many people will recognize them and kudos to the crew that they did all the effort to make them look small. It would have been much easier and cheaper to just hire 7 midgets, after all their screen time was very short.

P.S. Kristen Steward fairest of them all my ass!

I did some research and whatched loads of cast interviews before I went to the cinema so I was aware of the creation and production background. I am more aware now because I whatched the previous movies. And I still dont feel those questions neccessary. For me this movie was about humanity constantly raising questions and constantly trying to understand and figure out why and how we are the way we are and why we excist at all. And the whole subject is so big and has been asked so many times, that making a tipical everything is happy end and explained and clear hollywood movie about it would ruin the meaning. I mean there is a very serious stake for humankind to face the truth whatever it is. And all the most ancient creation myths state very very clearly that there is a stake. Just take how Eve took the apple of knowledge and mankind was banned out of paradise. Or how Prometheus gave fire and that had a stake and he got punished for it. So when I was sitting there whatching a bunch of people trying to find the ultimate truth and the answeres to everything and they found soemthing that lead to even mroe questions. I was glad. I was glad that i didnt get the ultimate answere. because we dont know. Ridley Scott doesnt know. Damon Lindelof doesnt know. We cna play with theories - as does the movie - but it wont be a movie that gives us the answere. So I figured this movie was so much about the search itself and the fackt that we do ask questions. That any answere would not be this movie. Its a bit like the Hitchhikers Guide to the galaxy. Where they build a computer to answere the ultimate question about life, universe and everything. And the answere is 42. Prometheus gives you the same answere. Its 42.
I am very eager to see a sequel Most probably cause I really like the 2 main characters. AndI hope Ridley will direct it

Very interesting and engaging. Loved the animation style, the characters, and of course the scramble suit. Some unique stuff in that movie.

That's one of my fave animated movies.

The Avengers: for the 10th time but on my birthday trip to Laughlin 3 days ago with my mom, stepdad and grandpa (Cant wait to go to Vegas this October with my jackpot winnings i brought back).

Spider-Man Trilogy Special Editions on Blu-Ray: 3 fun Marvel movies with the second being the best and the third was a clunker at best like X-Men 3 or Blade 3 but maybe Amazing Spider-Man should be good.

    Sin City
on Blu-Ray: a masterpiece of filmmaking and one of the most faithful adaptations of a comic ever, i've collected them for 16 years and Frank Miller is a genius. Saw this 5 times in theaters and blew my mind, Tarantino and Rodriguez with Miller know how to make a crowdpleaser, the sequel should be good.

Snow White and the Huntsman. I liked it. It prolly doesn't have much in common with the cartoon that Disney made back in the days with the Silly Song, but I liked this one with knights and a world that looks a bit like the world in The Lord of the Rings. It's a mix of The Lord of the Rings, Gladiator and the new Robin Hood with Russel Crowe. It even has a couple of carbon paper copied scenes from those movies, but I didn't care about that.
Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron are very good in the movie. Kristen Stewart looks like she always does. A bit grumpy all the time, but I think the movie company and the first time director Rupert Sanders wanted Stewart as Snow White and that way get the Twilight audience to go and see the movie. The dwarfs are very well made cause you'll recognize Bob Hoskins, Ian McShane and Ray Winstone right away.
I'll sure get this one when it's released on Blu-ray.
    A strong 3 out of 5 points.

    Rock of Ages.
If you like the 80's Rock n' Roll, then you gotta see this one! It has the best soundtrack ever! The story isn't original for one bit, but the cast and the singing is just great! Tom Cruise is just great as Stacee Jaxx, who's like a mix of Axl Rose and Nikki Sixx! And if you don't know who those two guys are, then you most likely don't listen to Rock n' Roll and Hard Rock.
Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand are really good as the owners of the rock club The Bourbon Room, that I think is meant to act like the real rock club called Whisky a Go-Go, that's located on West Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood.
Julianne Hough as the female lead is good looking, has a great body and sings good, so no complaints there from me.
I've seen a couple of musicals before and this is by far the best of all of them.
So, if you grew up listening to the 80's and 90's Rock n' Roll and Hard Rock, then you should go and see this movie.
But if you think that Lady Gaga is da shit and her music just rocks your world, then do yourself a favor and save your money and stay home, cause then you probably won't like the movie.
This is a movie I'll definitely get on Blu-ray.
    4 out of 5 points!

    Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

I enjoyed WAY more than the trailers made me think I would. If you can ignore the silly-ness of the concept, its a ton of fun. It seems that these 'high-concept, over-the-top silly' movies (Real Steel, Battleship, Vampire Hunter, etc...) are right up my alley, since I just can't get enough of them.

Brave: Very good and improves over the disappointing Cars 2, i should say that the heroine was quite cute i should say.

Abraham Linlcon Vampire Hunter: Silly over the top comedy fun from Tim Burton and company, the novel was better but this was fun.

Blade Runner Final Cut: My favorite of the 5 cuts and i own the Blu-Ray of it, my number one favorite movie of all time since i was 11 seeing the director's cut in theaters. it looks and sounds awesome in high def.

Indeed, Ted was a funny and delightful anti-PC romp with great motion capture that makes you feel that the bear is alive.

Madagascar 3: So far the best of the bunch.

Street Fighter 2 The Animated Movie:
Who remembers this kick-ass animated movie? i always loved it since junior high and this one is one of those game based movies done right, better than the awful live-action movie so far and knows how to treat the source with respect since it's from the same company.

The Amazing Spider-Man: WOW, what a nice reboot and should have an Avenger cameo in a sequel or maybe have Tony Stark do an appearance.

People Like Us, Kurtzman's director debut. It was interesting to see the many similarities in dialogue scenes between it and Transformers. The movie itself was well acted, but I didn't buy the plot.

Brave - Didn't see it in 3D... movie was pretty entertaining and absolutely beautiful scenery. Certainly not going to be my favorite Pixar movie, but still, a pretty darn good movie.

Saw Nixon on Blu-Ray. I have to think that film had a huge influence on Bay's visual style in the late 90s. You see a lot of similarities in The Rock, Armageddon, and Pearl Harbor. Particularly those tilted low angle shots in interiors.

Independence Day: Awesome 90s sci-fi classic! saw this 7 times when it came out and loved it, such a sci-fi epic to watch every summer.

Predator on Ultimate blu-ray: looks decent on blu-ray and sounds nice, this sci-fi action masterpiece is an outstanding film i always loved since i saw it 3 times in theaters as a kid.

Predator 2 on Blu-Ray: looks and sounds terrific in high def, this underrated sequel i saw 2 times in theaters is very entertaining and nice to see Predator in an urban setting.

Superman vs. The Elite: Very nice DC animated movie and far better than Justice League doom, the animation style on the characters seem Disney Channel-esque but who cares it does have a good story to it.

Batman (1989) on blu-ray: A classic comic book movie that looks and sounds amazing in high def! this is the movie that made a Batman fan since i was 8 seeing it 7 times in theaters and collected the comics since then.

Batman Returns on Blu-Ray: Highly underrated sequel that i saw 6 times at 11 and loved it, Michelle Pfeifer was hot as hell in this movie as Catwoman and Danny Devito was awesome as Penguin.

Batman Mask of the Phantasm: So much better than Schumacher's efforts as this animated Batman movie is a nice spin off animated movie from the brilliant animated show, saw this in theaters when it came out after christmas and it became my fave animated movie since.
