From what I gather it'll be an R rated drama with some action, but mostly character driven. Does that make it an Autumn movie?

Although I intentionally haven't read Pete's story I guess it's more like a black comedy. Nelson confirmed it's rated R and it's scheduled to be released next year. The filming ends in June so it's possible to move the release date earlier. And if it's indeed in 2013 then I'm guessing it'll be in January or February. I hope soon we'll have some news about this.
The end of the year is designated for films either meant for the holidays or for the "award season". Quirky, unusual genre pictures are often released in the first few months of the year. This movie looks fit for the latter. Although I would much rather see it sooner than later, we would probably have to wait until 2013.
Take it with a grain of salt but at IMDb the movie is listed to be released on 12 April 2013 in Sweden. Considering that most of the time movies are released earlier in the USA we can expect a February - March release in the States.
Call me impatient. But I really can't wait. Bay should release a movie every year. We should find a way to clone him, and have two Michael Bays running around making movies so every summer we have something to look forward to.
I'll be interested to see how they go about promoting it. I remember when Gore Verbinski made The Weather Man a lot of people didn't know what to make of it: an R rated drama starring Nicholas Cage by the director of POTC. I suspect Bay will have to do a lot more interviews than usual, both because the backstory is that it was a passion project of his that took over a decade to get made, and because it's a complicated true life story that will need explaining.

Not sure if it's oficial, but I like it.
This is not supposed to be a rant or something but why is the theatrical release the 15th August 2013 in Germany?
I don't understand why it doesn't start on the 2nd or 3rd May like in many other European countries, can someone enlighten me?
