If you can take all this stuff off for regular driving including the light bar then you should be all right for normal driving..then when going to an event put it on your golden..and have staed that before..and you have said you taken the magnets off..but the lightbar was on..but if its off and can be removed then you should be a little better..again..here I am giving you suggestions to help in this yet I am sure like before I will get a cocky response..

I have not bitched at you but only given you for the most parts my information I have gathered from many sources..people places and paper noting the faults you might have trying to defend your cars look.

For close to 20 years now I have been working, displaying, organizing,marketing, writing or participation in events with cars of all sorts. I have delt with people from all over the country and from around the world about cars. I have delt with people that have had issues with this topic you present..More than just your one car. I told you about the cars I saw on the Hot Rod Power Tour..I talked to them and the problems they had, the replica KITT cars and the problems and papers they had to sign to have a red light in the front. Even the classic 60's Batmobile a guy that I know that owns one he can not have the red light on the dome of the cockpit..its illegal in his state . People that restore and have classic CHP 5.0 mustangs and the hurdles they have to go to to make thier cars law complient. All the way up to and I did not mention it..but a FDNY Firefighter I know very well that had a tribute to his company that all but him DIED in 9/11. He lived ..only him...and on the side of his red pick up truck and they made him remove it. Because it said in the same font as the fire trucks that say FDNY. And they would not let him put anything FDNY on the truck because it was RED and driving in the streets of NY..And he is a Fire Fighter..and has more right to put up the letter of FDNY than you making a replica of any movie. Damn if thats the case man...

Do I know everything about this topic man? No..but I know well enough that I think your chances of going to court and a ruling in your favor are slim. That is taken from the many states that I know the BS people have to go through to make these cars legal. You have not done that from day one..and by the letter of the law you CAN have it and drive it but you have not..that is what I have been saying since the start..you kept pressing the issue and yea I am commenting back as far as I see it in an educated and reasonal view of the statute you are not compliant...you post that statute again and tell me how it can be interpreted in a different manner with the pictures of your car and a NM state police car.

Pink Ecto 1?? ouch..but you said its sitting for looks..meaning not driving..there is no law that states you can not make a car like that..but to operate a car thats another matter..but if its just for looks..and not a registered vehicle..thats another matter..

Optimus Prime is not an Emergency vehicle..or are you reffering to the blue lights on Prime? Yes in many states that is illegal to have those lights on the truck. No doubt about it. But that is up to the buyer to make it compliant with the rules of his or her state...Its not up to the seller of the truck to make it compliant..like Saleen taking off the lightbar and changing the grafix to sell his Saleen Barricade replicas..

Like I mentioned above I know of people that have KITT cars and yes many have to go though channels to make it legal to drive on the road in thier state...one guy I talked to had to make a plate to go over the red light when driving down the street. IN hisstate ANY red light on or off is illegal and to drive it it had to be covered.

Campus, State, Metro, county....still says the word police on it..Now if on the side of the car he put in his own font in large letters like Saleen did and spelled out Transformers and small under it police he would be fine again as the main focus is the grouping but no the magnets spell out just police. You mean the push bar in the front..funny only the last Camaro in the pics I showed you had a push bar..and guess what all of them are police vehicles..not all police cars have push bars..and your telling me you see cars driving down the street all the time white with just black fenders..just like a police car..yea okay....

Two ways things could play out if he did it the right and wrong way..
The wrong way:

at that point he walks back to his cruiser with Mr. Barricades info and contacts his higher ups on the matter. In wich point and in some states his car gets towed and impounded. Some places he gets a fine. Some places he gets arrested. In NM for his argument I hope he gets to do this and nothing happens. But without going through the proper channels its harder to pull off..

The better way:

(hands it to the officer) Also a letter from my local cheif of police and his letter of support for me and my car. (hands it to the officer) along with the D.A. for the state of NM stating his support and approval of me and this car and the program it represents. (hands it to the officer)
Officer: (looks at the paperwork and hands it back to Mr. Barricade) Thank you sir as I can see your all set, everything looks in order. thank you for your support in the program wish more people were like you and it looks like your family is having fun with this car.
Barricade: Yes sir it is fun and the kids have a blast.

You tell me what is better? Him going to a hearing for doing it the way he has been doing it? Or from the start doing it the way the law was written? Okay so explain this to me....Why is Saleen....the company that I am sure owns the build rights and designs to Barricade from the movie..A company with millions of dollars and lawyers and conections to the movie studio and Hasbro. patents to the car and the money to get this done to produce the car exactly like it is in the movie....why did they have to change, delete and reword many things on the car from the version in the movie? Why can he not sell it the way it was presented in the movie..Why is everything that identified it as a police car on the movie Barricade changed to the production Barricade?? It will be dismissed, and they will end up siting u for the car seat and things. Bring with you pictures of barricade and of a new mexico state cop car. Also the 411 and others. It also has low profile 50 looking lights, and NOTHING else to say other. Even the sticker on the window. Technically they can say this, but it boils down to intent. You have 1 intent. Register this car as is and you'll have no problem. Get a courtesy card from your local law enforcement chief and ull be ok. Even better if it's from a cty D.A..

LIke I stated posts ago I know a few poeple that redo ex police cars and state to state the laws vary and some make you totally rip the car apart and even replaint it before you can sell it. Another like Saleen like I posted why did he change so much on his car to sell it....Go into any ford dealer and ask to buy a Crown Vic with the RPO code of P71..Or a Chevy and ask to buy an Impala with the RPO of 9C1.. or Dodge dealer and see if you can get the emergency vehicle order for the Charger or the magnum..guess what you can not..

Sorry about the updates,they rescheduled the court date from feb 4th.i will keep everyone current on our situations here.how bout our new decals on the fenders?prrrretty shhnazzy huh?oh and new pics will be posted next week showing the car with a saleen front bumper/grill/signals.thanks for the support and feedback,it prepared me for arguements that may arise in court from the state police.
