    Default James Cameron's DeepSea Challenge

I didn't want to start a new thread on this thing, so I thought that his is as good place as any.

James Cameron just completed his historical solo dive to the deepest place on Earth, the Mariana Trench.
Read all about the story here!

Wonder if he saw animals down there that he will include in Avatar 2, cause according to Jim, a part of it will take place under the sea of Pandora.

    :lmao

Too bad Megatron's sitting at the bottom of the Laurentian Abyss, and not the Mariana Trench. (Apparently Sec. Def. Keller didn't do his research when he said it was the "deepest place on the planet." )

    I guess I have to re-post.

Hahaha that's interesting. I always thought that in the movie they were talking about the Mariana Trench. I thought that in English the Mariana Trench (spoken in my language) sounds like Laurentian. I never heard about the Laurentian Trench or maybe it has a completely different name on my language.
It's another thing that I never asked myself the question why they traveled all the way to the Mariana Trench?

So apparently I started a new thread anyways (Thanks to some admin).

As said before, Megs was dropped in the Laurentian Abyss which is a totally different place than the Mariana Trench.
The Laurentian Abyss is in the Atlantic Ocean and the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean.
Here's the info of those two places:
