Thread: Hollywood Reporter Correction

    Default Hollywood Reporter Correction

Hey read something in Hollywood reporter saying Pain and Gain is being made for 35 million. I wish. But it is being made for 22 million. I want to do this one cheap. Not get muddled in the stuff. It's about the characters on this one. I'm taking director scale pay as well. I have great actors and a fun script, it should be a blast. Anyway start shooting in a few weeks and will post from time to time.

Great to hear! We all know you can do great on a tight budget, and it seems like you enjoy making your films that much more when that is the case! Can't wait for P&G!

It's great to see such an awesome cast keeping their fees as low as possible just to work in Michael's great project. Looking forward to the start of shooting in April. I wonder how many days the shoot will take.

Here's hoping low budget= no PG-13 mandate. It would be great if we see a return of the kind of quick cuts and floor level angles that characterized Bad Boys and The Rock.

I'm really fine with new techniques for shooting between floors in different angles if Michael has a new vision for this, always nice to create new ways of shooting certain scenes IMO.

Glad to hear that. It's been a while since the previous R rated movies (Bad Boys/2, The Rock). :borat

I remember Michael mentioning P&G in an interview around the time BBII was released. He compared it to Fargo, and he discussed how in a film like Fargo there's far less violence than BBII, but the violence is more shocking. It would be interesting to see how he approaches that kind of tone.

In New Zealand I wonder if it will be R16 or R18...

Bad Boys/2 and The Rock are R16 here, but Fargo and Pulp Fiction are R18
