What they meant with that Sam and Mikeala relationship would had progressed?

in the DOTM Making of that i saw in youtube, one of the producers said that the Mikeala and Sam relationship would had progressed a bit more in DOTM had Megan been in it, but i am confused in what he meant with their relationship would had progressed, so do you guys have any idea in what Lorenzo meant with relationship progressing for both characters

- When should i propose to her?
- How should i purpose to her?
- Special location with beautiful view maybe? all alone?
- Could something happen when i do this?
- Should i bring Bumblebee with me at this location or not?
- Should i marry her?
- Where should we get married? isn't it a little old fashion for this day and age..? questions, questions, questions..

- Should we have babies?

- I hate kids, but far in the back of my head it would be pretty nice to be a father.. BUT I HATE KIDS..
- how many kids will we have?
