Dinobots!

I just read somewhere that Michael is not a fan of the Dinobots?? Not sure how much credability there is with the article, so I thought I would start a poll to gauge what everyones thoughts are. After reading a few of the threads there seems to be growing support. I would LOVE to see them in TF4, however there would need to be a worthy enemy I suppose (or they could be it as per previous storylines...) Any thoughts?

why not dino? It could be done if the story is on earth, cant see it happening if on Cybertron (however the new game has done it...)

Although indeed Michael said that he doesn't like Dinobots still I think there's a big chance to see them in TF4. The most important thing for the 4th movie will be to show something different from the previous 3 and Dinobots are just that. And why not, we've already seen a bird and Jaguar Transformers in the movies. Actually I can bet that in TF4 we'll see either Dinobots or Unicron. If they go with the Dinobots I think they should go only for Grimlock, not all of them. It would be easier to explain and less screen time consuming.
And there are already pretty good fan concepts of Grimlock on the web.

The first one looks cool but the organic look is very far from the Bayverse.

to me An. Altmode is meant to bring an Advantage be it camuflage or speed. Whats the point of transforming from a humanoid to a dinossaur? What can grimlock do as a t-rex that he cant do as a humanoide? The recent animal transformers looked great but i still prefer the bigger human-to-machine characters.

Bay would have to approach the Dinobots designs in a different way if they would make it to the sequel.
The Dinobots so far are an idea I'd like to have kept out from the films.

Same hear. It doesn't matter how cool or how well they blend in with the other Transformers to me. The idea of having robots turning into Dinosaurs is one I would leave alone in Michael's TF films.

They don't entirely make sense, and having big stupid clunky robots walking around on the screen (the twins) would most likely get a bad reception. If they made them more intelligent, Bay would get flamed by fans, "Your killing my childhood!!!"... ...

Who cares about those G1 obsessed TF fans? They already stopped watching after the first one!
Michael makes TF look good if they think otherwise to bad i say, i talk to many different people online on PS3 network and i always ask a bunch of questions what they think of TF the movies and they all say that TF looks cool now and not back then, they got interrested in TF thanks to the Bayformers not G1.

Oh and BTW there are loads of people out there who hate the movie to be dubbed in their language most of them think its stupid, they want a normal English version.

If these Dinobots will be in the movie i want them to have that typical Jurassic Park touch to them so Michael needs Steven Spielberg for this matter.
I want them to be clever, sneeky, intelligent in a predator kind of way, robust but fast in short range and mercilessly brutal.

I'm find with them being in the movie as long as their intro is impressive and more or less realistic i'll be happy.

If Michael still thinks these things look dorky and won't use em i'm ok with that too.

Read the comics. Grimlock is one of the smarter guys around even though his methods aren't always as subtle. And his love of stomping Decepticons sometimes get the better of him So having smart Dinobots aren't killing anyone's childhood since they were smart.

What, and Wheelie wasn't dorky? 50% of the stuff in the Bay formers are dorky. They're good movies. But having dinobots are no worse than that Aussie actress turning into robo medusa or the 'Deep Wang'.

If you were going to take away their dinomode, you might as well make them entirely different characters altogether.

Drop the other dinobots, but keep Grimlock. And his T-Rex mode. A robo-dinosaur is exactly the OTT streak of crazy-awesome another TF movie needs.

My views of the Dinobots in the movies are changing...

I'm all for just Grimlock. Hate to say this, but the other Dinobots don't have the recongnition he has. (Probably because of the fact that he's a tyrannosaurus rex.)

Grimlock would fill in the "big strong guy" role that Ironhide once occupied, only angrier, and more beastly. It would certainly add to the group dynamic of the Autobots. You see where I'm going at here? Grimlock would be the "Hulk" to the Autobots' "Avengers." (Without being too similar, of course.) His job during a huge battle? Smash every Decepticon (or new threat) that stands in his way. Plain and simple.

He'd also be a major headache for the Autobots. For one thing, he's impulsive and defiant. Secondly, they need to find ways to keep him out of the public eye, because he has no real disguise. That could lead the filmmakers to come of with some creative ways of moving him around. It's always fun when our heroes are stuck with some sort of dilema. But in the end, he's the Decepticons' worst nightmare.

As for his origin story...well...I got nothing.

It seems most people would like to see Dinobots in the next movie(s). I personally would be devastated if they were not included!!!! It would be great if they combined into 'the beast'
