exactly, ehren kruger just knew some TF G1 backstory, you need much more than that in a writer. I loved the first one, perfect mix of action and story, the 2nd and 3rd were not that good IMO (but amazing production value especially on the 3rd )

haha,but then again, if he gets his '80 act together it'll be awesome.And besides some quotes in the movie are just a copy of it in a quirky way:You'll never stop at oneI Rise. You Fall.etcBut that doesn't matter.As long as Peter Cullen gives voice to Optimus almost anything sounds cool.

yeah that as well, but I understand that with huge films like this, the story can take a backseat due to budget/time constraints but it doesnt mean they shouldn't try right? of course there would be some limitations but thats the whole point aint it? there were limitations in the 3D cameras but Mr Bay overcame those as well right?

Yeah, there must be a story to go with the action for sure but I think the new film should have less focus on story and more on character (it's quite hard to even them out, you can really only have one or the other). All though you need story for the action to be meaningful...

It can be quite hard to get your head around :head I find it best not to think about it
But yes, there definitely needs to be a good enough story (or maybe plot would be the best word).
