Transformers 4

To clarify uninformed reports coming out of Toy Fair - Steven Spielberg and I are working on a whole new re imagining of Transformers, the fourth installment. We have been working on the idea for a few months. I'm excited about where it's headed. But first I'm doing a small $20 million dollar edgy black comedy of a true crime story set in Miami called "Pain and Gain," staring Mark Wahlberg and Dwanye Johnson, and very close to signing on a couple other great actors. I'm extremely excited to simplify my film career this spring with a great character piece.


That starts filming at the end of March. I might then jump onto a very cool television show my company Platinum Dunes is selling to a major cable network. It might be my first pilot I might potentially direct. We are still working out the details of the deal.

i Hope you try to bring back Megatron, Starscream and/or Soundwave, doesnt matter if its a full ressurection, Zombies or reformart, just find a way to bring any of them back cause unlike rotf and dotm, iam unhappy about tf4, mostly cause the 3 main cons were killed in DOTM and its really impossible to accept new decepticons if you keep them all dead (at least just try to bring back Megatron)

Very excited for Pain and Gain.

I'm intrigued by a "re-imagining" of Transformers for the next film. If I had one thing that I'd like to see explored more it's the idea of "robots in disguise".

This is probably the best possible arrangement for everyone. Michael finally gets to make his pet project, while giving him time to recharge his TRANSFORMERS batteries and prevent the risk of creative burnout (something I feel was a major problem with PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES).
