Looks ok although I'm not a G.I. Joe fan.
"My story is of many thousands, and the world will not suffer if it ends too soon."
what happened to some of the original cast?
Ok, even I'm still reluctant about this movie (mostly due to its director), the trailer looks good.
Looks good to me.

FYI, the music in the last half of the trailer is a remix of The White Stripes "Seven Nation Army" by one of my favorite current artists, The Glitch Mob:

Channing Tatum's acting was atrocious in the first movie, and it looks like his awfulness has carried over to this one.
Much better new trailer.
Beware there is a huge spoiler in it and they show too much stuff not seen in previous trailers. I'm really sick of Hollywood's promotion techinques.
I watched the first part, to me it seemed boring, I fell asleep in the middle of the film.
Looks better than the first especially with Bruce Willis in the cast.
I am a HUGE fan of GI Joe with the figures and toons but this should improve on the first yet this film series feels inferior to TFs.
The WTF news of the day.

Yet another reason for people to hate post-converted 3D....
"You know why the departures and the arrivals at LAX are on separate levels? So the 30,000 heartbreakers that come here each month don't notice the 30,000 that are leaving with their hearts broken."
Wow haha what a pathetic move by Paramount...
"My story is of many thousands, and the world will not suffer if it ends too soon."
Read the feed on this earlier. Head scratcher for sure.
Gree-D aside, I can only assume PM has the luxury of tanking what they've already spent on marketing for June, and betting long on the later (and less cluttered?), post-converted release date?
Do they(PM) even have a tent pole release this summer?
I think they only have "Madagascar 3".
By the way, word on the street is that the reason for all of this is Peter Berg's "Battleship", which was not in 3D. Paramount were clearly aware of its weak box office performance and they decided that they don't wanna risk with their own big-budget Hasbro movie that's not in 3D. So they were basically, "Well, then let's make it 3D".
At least they're honest about their decision.

It's seems kinda risky to me. I don't really think that Battleship did so poorly because it wasn't in 3D, although I know the movie would have made at least a little more money in 3D because of the higher ticket prices. I think it did poorly because The Avengers is kicking ass like nobody's business. but I could be wrong.
I have to admit, however, I was very surprised Battleship wasn't in 3D; it certainly had some 3D worthy moments.
I also have to admit, I was kinda pumped to see The Rock put boots to asses this summer.

Unbelievable. Just unbelievable to do this with just a month before release.
I'm speechless really.
It also may have been pressure from Hasbro to do this. They don't want another embarassment.Originally Posted by Bayhem

guess Hasbro couldnt afford 2 losses in the same fiscal quarter.. that would be damn bad for business.. the whole battleship flop in the US.. really messed things up. They had reported losses before battleship as well, so they arn't doing 2 good..
im real upset this got pushed back, was really lookin forward to it.
they must have made huge losses with the marketing campaign, the super bowl trailer, toy line etc by pushing it back, all that promotion gone for waste!
Pushed back to 2013 just for some crappy post-conversion 3D? That's lame. No, that's beyond lame. That's like...lame9 or something.
Wow, that's incredibly stupid. I didn't want to see this one, but this is just stupid.
I think pushing the film back will be worse than releasing with no 3D. Yes you get extra $$$ from 3D, but by March 2013, I don't think people will care much for GI Joe anymore, the hype will be way down than what it is now (and it isn't even that great now).
You tell her we're not her pets, and we're not her toys! We're an advance, genius alien race just looking for a home!
the toys are already in store in singapore, just saw a toys r us flier on their fb page! toys rnt going to sell that well now.. do they really make that much extra $$ from 3d that they can afford to take a loss on the toys, the money spent on marketing?
would love to hear more about this.. what the director and the actors think about this move..
Someone from Paramount will be fired in 9 months time.
I can't believe they did that. I hope there is another reason that we don't know about, not only the 3D conversion.
Well, it doesn't take a genius to figure out what the real reason is. The real reason is that Paramount has now seen the movie and finally understood that the movie sucks as much as the first one and it would have been totally crushed at the Box Office by movies like Prometheus, The Amazing Spider-Man and Dark Knight Rises. Everybody knows that a total post production 3D doesn't make a movie better. It makes it worse!
It's exactly shit post production 3D movies like this that makes people hate 3D more and more...
JUST found out today about it. (I need to come into this thread more often.)
Big WTF news indeed. Here we have a movie, one that looks (keyword: looks) like a vast improvement over the first, one that Hasbro already has their toy line ready to sell for, and we now have to wait a whopping nine months for it just for a 3-D conversion? I mean...who...what...I don't even...there are just no words. Can you imagine people walking up to the box office on June 29th only to find out there is no movie? (Not everyone reads this stuff on the interwebs.)
