Hey guys, little while ago, i was running on our treadmill while watching TFA. My dad (who watched G1 when in college) comes downstairs and watches some with me. After the commercials start, all he can say is: "Wow. This series sucks." What the heck?
Guess he's used to the original robots and not these extremely skinny robots.

Guess he's used to the original robots and not these extremely skinny robots.

it's what happenes when you encounter a true G1 fan, they think almost all the other series suck. I see it alot on TCA (another transformers forum) personally i'm all for change and i thought the new one Rise of the constructicons was fair.

Alright I'm gonna finally say it.

Despite the new animation style and design, Animated is far superior to G1 in regards to characterization and plot. All G1 did is just plop a whole bunch of characters into a TV show just to sell a toy. Many of them we never really see develop and are forgotten (like Trailbreaker ). In Animated, the toys aren't even out yet! I think it was a good idea to choose just three dinobots rather than 5 cuz it would just be more characters that never see development. Same thing goes with the constructicons, only two in Animated, and both have amazing characterization. all we see in G1 are constructicons attacking and combining.

There, I said it, *prepares for other guys to aim guns at me*

no really even though i grew up with G1 and i like only a few of the characters i'mall for change and i like animated its pretty cool

I like fans like you. And don't get me wrong, I love G1, I just wish it was more than a big toy commerical (especially Transformers: the Movie, what the heck happened?). I believe a true Transformer fan is not the guy that says "Trukk not Munky!" or "The movie is way better than G1!!!" A true fan is a fan that screams "I love Transformers!"

Well, he was KIND OF a fan when he watched it, but now the only characters he remembers are the ones that appeared in the new movie. Which stinks, because i thought he would know what the hell i was talking about sometimes.

By the way, the episode i was watching when dad watched was 'Along came a Spider'. Actually, that WAS a pretty bad episode.

Heck yeah! I love Transformers just the same.. it didn't matter if they were transmetal during the beast wars, or animated, or in a type of manga universe.. I loved it.. well.. all except for Beast Machines.. I only considered HALF of that show to be Transformers.. the others were mutations.. which was crap. There were only 5 Vehicons, and 1 Predacon that were Transformers. The.. ahem.. maximals .. did that mutating crap.. and yeah.. I'm done.. I hated the show.

The latest episode after a few weeks of well not as action packed episodes I have to give this one a 10 out of 10 on ratings it was great. Seems like any thing with lockdown in it is going to be a good one.

Well, the guy who provided the voice for Spongebob Squarepants is the one voicing Starscream in the Transformers Animated. If you watch the episode: A Fistful of Energon then you will noticed that the cloned Starscream who is afraid screams just like Spongebob.
