seems DVD is going the way of the VHS, floppy disk, cassette tapes and laser discs.
I've not actually SEEN any dvd versions in my local Morrisons or HMV but lots of the blu ray![]()

Does anybody know when the version with all 3 movies AND special features will be out?
sorry if someone already answered this before![]()

Nobody knows about this one, but I can guarantee you that if such thing will be released it'll be after January 31.
The trilogy version that is already released consists of the special feature discs of the first two movies + the stand alone third movie. We all expect that the special features of the third movie will be released with the 3D combo pack on January 31. Nothing is officially confirmed.
Thanks Albershide!
I think they are putting in a lot of work into the special features maybe? or even put a little info on a tf4! lol

You guys are killing me.
On Jan 31 there will be 2 products released:
1.- The TFDOTM 3D Blu-ray
It includes:
Disc 1 - DOTM Blu-ray
Disc 2 - Behing the Scenes
Disc 3 - DOTM 3D Blu-ray
Disc 4 - DOTM DVD/Digital Copy
2.- 7-Disc Limited Collector’s Edition Blu-ray Trilogy (with 3D Blu-ray)
I'll post the specifics of the 7-disc edition on Monday.
WOW!!! Thanks Nelson. Finally the confirmation that everybody was waiting for. :borat
7 discs edition!!! Just epic!
Will the behind the scenes disc be dvd or blu ray?
Will the 7 disc set also be available in dvd format?
I have notice now that blu ray movies are more expensive than their dvd counterparts for new release movies. Also Apple have raised their prices for albums on itunes
F$%*^(& greedy $#$$( Apple.
Just Blu-ray.Originally Posted by chatterbox
bet the 7 disc edition, is the 4 disc's same as the 3d set.. then 2 disc's for ROTF & 1 disc for TF1 same as the normal trilogy set out now..
Great, have to buy the 3D just for extras. L-A-M-E.
I'm assuming there's no 2 disc special edition without 3D. Right?
I think he mean you can't get special features in 2D edition. you have to buy the 3D edition to get special feature disc.
I think you guys are missing the point here. I believe the 4 disc edition with the 3D Blu-ray will cost exactly the same as for example a 2 disc special edition. So if you don't want the 3D disc just throw it away. The people that have to be unhappy are the DVD users because the DVDs are much cheaper than Blu-rays. But that is if they don't release a stand alone DVD which we still don't know.
english is not my native language - but who cares?
Yep, the 7 disc collection should include 2 discs for each movie + the 3D Blu-ray for DOTM.
Now with the price announced I really think that these 5000 copies will be sold out pretty soon. We have to be quick. 7 discs for $100 makes $15 per disc which is pretty good. Not to mention the priceless autograph the great case and the real film strip.
The answer to your first question is yes. Although Nelson said it pretty straightforward here it is again:
Disc 1 is the 2D Blu-ray and Disk 3 is the 3D Blu-ray.
The answer to your second question is also yes. The movie is already listed on Amazon.co.uk so it should be sold in Europe too. Only the release date is uncertain.
