Default Confused about the DVD/Bluray versions

So, in few days it's finally possible to own the DVD/Bluray, but I'm a little confused about the versions and their content.

    DVD - movie only
Bluray - Movie + DVD + Digital Copy (no Extras?)
Bluray - Steelbook, + DVD + Digital Copy (no Extras?)

There is no info about the extra content (behind the scenes,...).

Has the Bluray Steelbook version extra content? because I don't see any difference between both bluray versions, except for the price, the difference is 10 Euro (about 7 or 8 US-D).

are there any detailed informations about the bluray versions?
english is not my native language - but who cares?

All the versions that are on sale now are containing only the movie. No special features. There is no official release date for the special editions but you can be sure that we'll get something before Christmas. The 3D combo disc will be released on December 6 (i believe again without special features). Michael said that he finished working on the version of all three movies together so we expect to see this before Christmas. It's rumored that it'll have a longer cut of all 3 movies (I personally doubt it).
So if you want a version with special features, then you have to wait maybe a month or so.

So it is going to be made a box-set with all the three movies + special features? this sounds awesome!

Only a set with all three movies?
I want only TF3 on Bluray with extras and not all three movies, and I also don't want the 3D version

Don't worry you will get one. They will surely release such version as they did with previous two movies.

The big question is why did Michael work for several weeks on the edition with all three movies together. Obviously this means that there will be something special about it.

I would love to see some extended cut of the three movies, filling the (sometimes) obvious gaps in some sequences, but I highly doubt we will get them.

I'm actually hoping for them to release a blu ray trilogy boxset of all 3 films. That'd be something I'd love to have.

I already pre-ordred the trilogy: http://www.bol.com/nl/p/dvd/transfor...specifications BOL.com is like the Amazon for the BENELUX.

It says on that page that the production company is Universal Pictures...???

I heard December 6th is when the 3D version comes out. That will most likely be the only one with a special features disc.

I don't hope that the 3D version is the only version with extras, that would totally suck.

there are not many people with a 3D TV where I live. Also Bluray is still "new". - the 3D version probably won't have many customers here...

Is there anywhere a official statement about the different versions? I know it was posted, but the details about the extras were missing.

You misread my post. I mean the 3D combo pack will most likely be like this:

    Disc 1: 3D Blu-ray - Movie Only
    Disc 2: 2D Blu-ray - Movie only
    Disc 3: Blu-ray Special Features
    Disc 4: DVD
Digital Copy is just a code on paper.

This whole delay thing for bonus content is turning into a swift "spit in the face". Still $1.00 for redbox alone thus far till this retarded thing comes out... and i'm going to bet its gonna suck and be nothing worth the anticipation.

...very tired of waiting and speculations

I see, never heard about these special features on the 3D combo pack. I wonder why they didn't put anything on the cover. Maybe that's not the final cover. This is strange though - the combo pack will have 3 discs as it is stated on the cover - one 3D disc, one 2D disc and one DVD + digital copy (they're together on one disc). Believe me there is no way to fit a big amount of extra features on a disc that have a 2:40 hour movie. So I'm guessing there will be a small amount of extra features on this combo, not the amount as it was on TF1 and ROTF.
Also look at what Amazon.com stated as special features under the Blu-ray that was released on September 30 (which had no special features at all):

    Featurettes (HD):
    - Above and Beyond: Exploring Dark of the Moon
    - Rising from the Fallen: Development and Design
    - Ready For Prime Time: Filming Across America
    - Battle in the Heartland: Shooting in Chicago
    - Attack of the Birdmen: Aerial Stunts
    - Shadow of the Sentinel: Post-Production and Release
    - And more!

So I guess this will be the features for the 2 Disc 2D Blu-ray that will be released soon. But nobody knows when. It should be before Christmas I guess but now there are plenty of version coming. 3D + Trilogy + 2D, too much for just one month. I hope we'll get an answer soon.

If you bought it from Amazon.com then you can return it because they posted wrong description of the product.

    About the TF Trilogy...

There's a normal Trilogy and a Collectors Edition right...?
And is it the Collectors Edition that Michael has personally worked on or not?

    I ordered this one:

But i wanna have this one as well:

I really wanna know which one Michael has worked personally on that he said he finished in one of his last posts on the forum.

What's on the cover as not always what is exactly in the package.

Blu-ray.com shows it comes with 3-Discs, that are all Blu-ray, and 1 DVD. The Digital Copy is just a redeem code on a paper that you use on iTunes to download the Digital copy.

Basically it comes with 4-Discs and a Digital Copy.
