Oldboy: Looks stunning in high def on Blu-Ray, a true modern masterpiece and one of the most action packed Asian movies of the last decade plus one of the best comic book movies ever.

They did a good job building suspense at some parts which I thought would be impossible given the setting. Even after reading all the great reviews, I still found it hard to believe, but I ended up really liking it. Ryan Reynolds played the part very well.

13 Assassins: Wow, Takashi Miike has made a solid action movie and made one of his best.

Riki-Oh The Story of Ricky on Blu-Ray: You all have to see this movie to believe it! a so bad it's good Hong Kong/Japanese import based on a comic book about a superstrong martial artist turned prisoner in the future as he battles tough as hell prisoners, superstrong gangs and a bad drug dealing warden. Loaded with gory graphic violence including a head crush that you seen in The Daily show, lots of action and comedy as well.

Shame TinTin won't come out until next month here in the states.

The Shining on Blu-Ray: a classic that looks great in high def.

Man Bites Dog: Twisted Belgium import that is one of the first POV horror films with Cannibal Holocaust before Blair Witch, Paranormal Activity and others we see today, this was made in 1992 before them. Hard to watch but quite good, at least it's no worse than Serbian Film which i have no desire to see after all those horrific things i've heard.

Scrooged: A christmas classic i always loved since i was 7 when it first came out in theaters 2 times.

Good to hear some positive feedback about this film.
I was somewhat mixed. Now that I'm hearing some positive reviews
I'm probably gonna check it out.

Is TinTin that great? i've heard positive reviews and heard it's much better than Zemeckis's mocap efforts. I'm sure this will be the best animated movie of the year.

I grew up with the TinTin HBO animated series as it introduced every Canadian and American kid to TinTin 20 years ago and i was 10 when i watched it every morning before going to school.

Well to be honest, for me this is the best adventure movie I've seen in years. But then I've never read anything about the comic book so I didn't have any expectations. I hope you won't be disappointed. Also although many people won't understand me, I think this movie is the biggest contender for the visual effects Oscar together with DOTM. Then again I don't think the Academy is ready to give the Oscar to a 3D animation movie.

P.S. I think that every person will find something to enjoy in this movie. Don't miss it guys. Have fun.

    Battle: Los Angeles

Gotta admit, didn't know what to expect, but didn't really hear great things. However, I thought it was pretty badass. Black Hawk Down with aliens, but hey, that's my kind of movie.

Battle LA is a fun movie to watch. I just watched Revenge of the Fallen again and loved every second of it. That was my first time watching it since DOTM came out, and Ive seen that like 40 times now lol. I love the 2nd so much, the 3rd and 2nd are tied equally for me as my number one favorite movies of all time.
I also watched Horrible Bosses, which was very funny, a little dumb but funny none the less.
Immortals was awesome in my opinion, I love Tarsem a lot and think this was his best film by far, then the Cell 2nd.

    What do you guys think?

Battle LA was a fun flick, reminds me of Gears of War but as a movie crossed with Independence Day.

    Oh what i have seen:

Oliver and Company: Who remembers this movie? I did, i saw it during it's original 88 release in November/december when i was 7 3 times and loved it, i even had the original merchandise from Mcdonalds stuff to all the way to the soundtrack that features two childhood singer faves of mine like Billy Joel (He does his only movie which is this one) and Huey Lewis. Shame it was never released on video for 7 years, but it did got re-issued in 96 and got it on video but in 2002 i did replaced it with the special edition DVD and watch it every thanksgiving time as a tradition and i enjoy it for the nostalgia. Cheech Marin is hilarious as Tito and Robert Loggia was badass as the gangster Sykes, such a fun film.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles: One of my all time faves and perfect to watch during the thanksgiving holidays or anytime, a brilliant and bittersweet comedy that is totally hilarious. I saw it in theaters as a kid and became a family fave.

A Serbian Film: What an abomination this movie was! i can't believe i watched it with my horror/Sci-fi loving friends (I'm a horror fan too) whom one rented it from one of our video stores that people can rent rare movies and this film we all regret seeing this sick piece of trash. I sat through some shocking films like Cannibal Holocaust (Great film but mainly in it's version that cuts out the scenes where animals are actually killed in the film which made me sick when i saw it uncut in theaters), Cannibal Ferox, Ichi The Killer (Awesome movie BTW), Men Behind The Sun (Still the most shocking film i've ever seen), The Untold Story, Caligula (Uncut version), Salo: 120 Days in Sodom, The Untold Story aka Bunman, Irreversible, Guiena Pig, Martyrs, New York Ripper etc. but this one went too far, we all needed showers after seeing this.

Batman Returns on Blu-Ray: The last good live-action Batman movie before Nolan's movies! Michelle Pfeifer was hot as Catwoman/Selina Kyle and i always adored Pfeifer since i was a kid as she has been one of my boyhood crushes and Devito was great as Penguin much like Burgess Merideth or Paul Williams. I saw this 4 times in theaters when i was 11 and it was a big year for Batman such as this and the kickass animated show.

The Land Before Time: Who remembers this one? i saw this 4 times in theaters when i was 7 and had some of the merchandise including those Pizza Hut hand puppets to all the way to PJs, loved it and i also enjoy watching this every thanksgiving as a tradiiton.
