POTC: On Stranger Tides- Disjointed story. Too many characters, too many storylines, too many people I didn't really care about. A few funny lines, a few "Captain Jack being Captain Jack" moments, but otherwise the action was weak and forgettable. The music was good.

V For Vendetta: It looks great on Blu-Ray, while it's not as good as the graphic novel it's still a solid Sci-fi film.

    Domino: F***ing love this movie.

Star Wars (Original trilogy): Great as always, but some of the Blu-Ray new features are quite cheesy (as some shots from the 90s special editions).

21 Jump Street: Nice version of that cool 80s tv show i grew up with.

Battle Royale: This brilliant 2000 made Japanese Sci-fi import has finally made it to the US after 10 years and i had this movie on R0 imported DVD since 2002 as now it's on Blu-Ray, a must see film.

"The Shawshank Redemption" (with Frank Darabont's commentary).

Indeed. That Eddie is sorely missing these days.

Stay Tuned: Who remembers this movie? i did when i was 11 seeing it 2 times in theaters, awesome and hilarious satire of TV with two excellent actors known as John Ritter and Jeffrey Jones who did 2 superb performances in it. Ritter has always been one of my fave actors since i watched reruns of "3's Company" as he is quite the talent as even my dad looked like him and Jones has always been one of my fave actors since i saw "Beetlejuice", "Howard The Duck", "Ferris Bueller", "Translyvania 6-5000" etc. in theaters growing up, it's a shame of what he did recently but i'd rather not think about what he did in his private life and still enjoy his movies.

The Muppets: Awesome movie, one of my fave movies of 2011 and saw it 4 times in theaters and looks great on Blu-Ray, i grew up with the Muppets and this didn't disappoint.

The Hunger Games - my wife is a fan of the books and she took me with her. Unexpectedly I enjoyed it. Never liked Jennifer Lawrence but they made her pretty likable here. The only thing I didn't like was the camera work on the action sequences. Oh, boy this guy gave me a headache on every dynamic scene. I don't know if it was the Director or the DOP to blame.

P.S. How the hell did they manage to spend $100 million on this one.

The Hunger Games- Decent movie, I read the first book but never got to the second for some reason. It's was a good movie but nothing overly superb.

Green Lantern- Story wasn't bad, but the effects were pretty awful. I like Ryan Reynolds, but I can never shake the idea that I'm just watching Van Wilder as __________; Van Wilder as a vampire killer, Van Wilder as a superhero, etc. I'm not sure he will be able to break that mold, although I'd like to see Buried and Safe House. Oh, and Blake Lively, while uber hot, was awful. I'm not real familiar with her, so maybe this is a case of bad script (I'm reminded of Hayden Christensen; pathetic in Star Wars, but excellent in Shattered Glass), but holy crap.

Drive- Pure awesome. I'm haven't seen many Ryan Gosling movies, but I'll definitely be paying attention now. Everyone in this movie was fantastic, and you simply can't beat the vibe of this movie. I felt cool just watching it. It oozes cool. Also makes me want to buy a fast muscle car and just go for a drive. Highly recommended movie if you are looking the epitome of a "slow burn". I want that jacket, too.

Hugo 3D. First I gotta say that the movie SUCKS!!!!!!!!
Second. The 3D was good, but no way in hell was it better that the effects in DOTM!! TF3 got so fucked by the Academy this year, that it's beyond words! :head
Third. Scorsese better stick to making mobster action movies in the future, cause he sure hell can't make an exiting family movie! I can't imagine that some seven year old kid can stay awake the whole two hours of the movie. There's absolutely nothing going on that would be even slightly exiting!
As my friend told me, it was like Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy all over again...

Still one of my all-time favorite movies. I just love the 50s atmosphere, love the cast and of course the great music. Perfect combo.
