I grew up with this movie since i was 4 26 years ago when i rented it on video and watched it with my big brother, left an impression on me with a sense of wonder. This is one of David Lynch's 2 more accessible movies he made in Hollywood besides Elephant Man, this was considered one of the most expensive movies of all time and costed 47 million bucks at the time to make it. The film adaptation of Frank Herbert's literary masterpiece from 1965 was considered unfilmable as many tried to get it film since 1970. In 1982 David Lynch was hired after researching for a hot project even though he knows nothing about the book as he did his homework then wrote the screenplay for it based on 3 rejected scripts. He filmed from december 1982 till March 1984 then in december 1984 it got negative reviews especially by Ebert and Siskel who called it the worst film of the year and became one of the biggest box-office bombs of all time.
the eyes were so mesmerizing like crazy hypnotic i would look up sometimes and not realize how long i had been watching
