Re-encode Transformers on Blu-ray

Hi Michael,

When Paramount finally decides to come back to blu-ray, will there be a re-encode of the movie with Higher bitrates, so it can stay true to the master.

Also will there be an Uncompressed soundtrack such as PCM or TRUEHD DTS-HDMA.

I want the presentation to be as close to the theater experience as possible especially since I work with special effects and am a compositor I get to see Cineon 4k files all the time. I find that movies on HD-DVD tend to be a little soft.(depends on the movie)

It's my understanding that the encode had already been done and that it was at higher bit rates. They just never sent it out to the replication facilities. They went HD DVD exclusive before that happened. This of course cannot not be substantiated. ;)

Yea I hope that it is a seperate transfer and not the same one that was used for HD-DVD.
