I think TF was the BIGGEST Grossing Blockbuster 07 if not all time:confused:.
Now it's the BIGGEST SELLING DVD in the U.S.A if not the world of 07.
Now i just hope it takes out every thing it's nominated for at the Ocars.

Was shopping to day for some new DVD's the amount of times i heared people say i want TF toys and dvd's.$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

As a parent,Happy Feet had a lesson in family dynamics, and the importance of over fishing,Global Warming..etc...Parents probably bought this dvd because of the message but do nothing about the solution. So,in a sense, they feel they participated in stopping the problem. But go to work in an Escalade by them self while dad takes the Suburban. Transformers rocks on...!!!! YEAH!!!! :D P.S. I bought Happy Feet too:( Funny enough, here in New Mexico,we went shopping for stuff at a wally world.I asked the employee, "Excuse me,where do you have your Transformer toys?"She laughed at me and said,"We haven't had them since before Christmas...They sold everything.Like an addictive drug?I dont know. You be the judge.....And for the record.I did find a keychain that says," Lets transform and roll out"....I bought it...Now I need rehab for my denial of my problems..and I look my children in the face after these purchases?...................help?

Yeah... about those toys. Did you see where the FTC is urging the MPAA to reconsider guidelines that let some PG-13 movies be marketed to young children after an angry advocacy group out of Boston has complained that Transformers was inappropraitely advertised to children as young as 2. Must have been the russet transforming into Optimash that got them.

Are people still using the tv as a babysitter?

Oh dear God....*shakes head*

What's the world coming to?

I miscounted. Seven.
U.S. special edition, U.S. HD, and five sets of Japanese special edition.

Because I feel like I hear the voice from the DVD cover "We're here. We're waiting." http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/indifferent/indifferent0014.gif

Just dont buy the game "loosely based" on the movie if you do this. It was just horrible. The graphics and animations were wicked awesome tho... but you will eventually be asking yourself "Why am i torturing myself by playing this game?" :(

Ive heard good things about the DS version, maybe when i see it for $10

DS version ?? Uhh.. what game are we referring to? Transformers? If you are.. I've seen the DS version.. its simply called Transformers Autobots. The Wii, 360, PS2, and PS3 games are all exactly the same. The graphics are pretty good, but I'd say they are just as good from the PS2 to the PS3. I had thought there were going to be better graphics or more features with the PS3 version, but sadly... there aren't.. :(

if you don't have a dvd player, play it on your computer works great and i have three versions of the movie and 30 of the toys, four of which are G1. I just got the G1 box set and because it is set to region 2 and the US is region 1, I have to use my computer to watch them.

I have a bunch of toys from the movie, too. Currently own voyager class Ironhide and Ratchet, deluxe class Bumblebee (76 Camaro), Jazz, and even Arcee! I was so sad when I couldn't get my hands on a Leader Class Optimus Prime.:(

Hasbro underestimated the power of the movie, they simply did not release enough toys. Wal-mart and those places have NOTHING right now. Hopefully Hasbro will produce more toys for TF 2.

I've been to Hasbro's website. Many of the earlier toys for the movie are sold out. I just went to Wal-mart today and they are still carrying '76 camaro Bumblebee, Jazz and even Starscream. I don't know if they have been warming the shelves all of that time or if they are simply being reissued. They have many new ones there such as Nighwatch Optimus Prime, Desert Brawl and many other voyager and deluxe class figures part of the "Allspark Power" line-up. I bought an Autobot named Landmine today, he turns into one of those Sector 7 scout vehicles, he is a pretty awesome figure.

The DVD sold 8.3 million copies in its first week, making it the fastest-selling DVD of 2007 in North America, and it sold 190 thousand copies on HD DVD, which at the time was the biggest debut on the format. The DVDs sold 13.74 million copies, making the film the most popular DVD title of 2007.

Same here... I kinda went nuts and got at least 2 of every figure and even more.. like the exclusives from Toys R Us, Target, Walmart, and Sam's Club. They still have a lot of the figures on the shelves you were talking about as well. I've noticed that Hasbro is trying to sell the shit out of those lil gadget toys. Like the cell phone... I've seen it in Blue, Black and red now. gahhhh.. I tell ya.. crazy.. I bought the blue one but didn't get the other 2.

Redeccos piss me off. Hasbro does that cuz they want to make as much money as they can on one mold. My brother owns 'Rescue Ratchet" which is just a red and white version of normal movie Ratchet. Of course, they are trying to G1-ify the figures, they had sucess with the Jazz figure, but the Optimus Prime G1 redecco looks nothing like old Prime because of his transformation sceme. Even the Transformers Classics linup isn't perfect. I'm just waiting for a time when Hasbro will sell some 100% G1 homage toys.

They also need to make a big G1 video game!:DCan you imaging how well that would sell?

I actually liked the Transformers Classics line. THey brought back Megatron as a gun.. Granted it looked like one of those kids paint pistols or water super soaker things but I still liked it. As well as the other figures.. they were all pretty cool and I would have enjoyed a bigger toyline out of it. They even had some triple changers.. well.. AStrotrain anyways.. but yeah.. I thought the classics line was sweet.

They actually did make a G1 video game.. but it was only made for the Playstation 2 in Japan.. I was so hoping it'd come out here in the US but I guess it never made it. Lemme see if I can find a picture of it...

http://14.pro.tok2.com/~santetsu/ebay/PS2_TRANSFORMERS/TRANSFORMERS.jpghttp://14.pro.tok2.com/~santetsu/ebay/PS2_TRANSFORMERS/TRANSFORMERS1.jpg

Found it .. but yeah.. I wish they made this for American systems as well.
I don't really care for all the redecos.. but I don't mind some of them.. such as turning Bumblebee into Cliffjumper or the red car(forgot its name) from the video game.. starts with an S.. gah.. but yeah.. they redeco'd him and made him Camshaft.. I liked that.. but ones like Jungle Bonecrusher and the Rescue Ratchet wasn't cool to me. I liked the G1 repaint of Jazz, and Starscream since it was also in the video game. and I liked the repaint of Starscream into Thundercracker and wished they did more of the seekers like that. I'd buy em.. :)

Back on topic.. its cool that the movie is the best selling.. I'm just waiting on the Blu Ray version.. and I'll definitely get that one. I still laugh that all the HD stuff is on the stands in stores even though their all being phased out.. then again.. I laugh at the people who actually bought HD players.. LMAO...

I think the blue ray tittle is own by warner brothers, and not universal studios so it could be a long while before we see transformers on blue ray.

I think the blue ray tittle is own by warner brothers, and not universal studios so it could be a long while before we see transformers on blue ray.

The Blu-ray Disc format was developed by the Blu-ray Disc Association (http://www.bluraydisc.com/) (BDA), a group of leading consumer electronics, personal computer and media manufacturers, with more than 180 member companies from all over the world. The Board of Directors currently consists of:

Apple Computer, Inc.
Dell Inc.
Hewlett Packard Company
Hitachi, Ltd.
LG Electronics Inc.
Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.
Mitsubishi Electric Corporation
Pioneer Corporation
Royal Philips Electronics
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.
Sharp Corporation
Sony Corporation
Sun Microsystems, Inc.
TDK Corporation
Thomson Multimedia
Twentieth Century Fox
Walt Disney Pictures
Warner Bros. Entertainment

Hope this clarifies things... It's actually owned by several companies.. not just Warner Brothers. Just because Universal wasn't one of the board of directors.. does not necessarily mean we won't see it for a while.. We've heard reports that its in Circuit City's computers.. and should be coming soon. My guess is that we'll see it sometime around July. Otherwise, it IS on the Blu-Ray website.. but the distribution date is "To Be Announced".
