View Full Version : This week Michael Bay is showing some 3D scenes from DOTM to James Cameron?

We all have read Michael's interview in which he said:
"Question: Have you already seen it 3D?
Michael: I’ve seen a lot of scenes 3D. We look at it every day. It’s a process.
Question: Have you showed James Cameron anything?
Michael: He’s going to see it…He’s going on vacation I think this week. I’m going to invite him in a week."
So I wonder if we'll get some info about that meeting. It should be very interesting - the opinion of the man who convinced Michael to shoot TF3 in 3D. And definitely one of the experts on 3D. I guess we'll find out in the next days, probably after the trailer.

That would be an awesome article to read, sit-down with Bay and Cameron.
Cameron-"Bay that was insane, looks like Avatar is going to have a run for its money."
Bay-"Thanks Jim, Glad you liked it. Thats what we were going for."
But in all seriousness that would be sweet.

"see this is action" just kidding probably like Lucas and Spielburg chit-chat
I think Cameron is a joke. He thinks he is more important than he is. He's a director, not a professor or doctor or judge or scientist. Ever since Avatar came out and his big public "you should think what I say matters" happened I'm done with the guy. Best way to put it: If I was to win a contest and the prize was you get to grab a drink with both directors and hang out at a local pub, Bay at one point, and Cameron at another point, Bay and my conversation would probably be random, free flowing and seriously non-serious... Cameron's would probably start off with politics or religion.

I like how Michael Bay and James Cameron are like BFF's. They should do a movie together. It would be the most epic thing ever, until the eventual Michael Bay/James Cameron/Zack Snyder/Christopher Nolan team up movie after that.

If all those directors produced/directed one whole movie, it would rack up every single movie award known to man! :p That would be pretty awesome!

BEST IDEA EVER! :D i also think the same way but i geuss its impossible they all have contracts with the studios probably making one movie for one company is money loss for the other company... unless they MAKE HISTORY! and split the money :D

Can't say I'm much of a fan of Cameron movie wise. I mean Avatar is a total ripoff and even at that the plot is paper thing. However. There's no doubting the man's ability to forward the technology used to make movies. And yeah 3D may be a bit of a fad, but to be honest he's the only one that's pulled it off well so far...

Whats wrong with talking about Politics or religion or philosophy?? Theres nothing wrong with that. Maybe people would be a bit more civilized and learn more about maintaining a better society for the future children of this world if we had more of this sort of chat.
But yeah I think its also fine just talking about random stuff as well.
IMO I do find it a little shallow when people only talk about games, chicks, cars, the "cool" things they have, or what they did at this party etc..
I think there should be a balance between talking random stuff and deep, serious conversations.
Just my opinion:borat

I'm with you on the conversations, I was just saying in the scenario I presented I think M. Bay would be much more fun to talk with and Cameron would come off like he was hanging out behind a podium. Like you said, just my opinion.

Your opinion, not facts.
Cameron is very approachable & likes to talk a myriad of things: like cars and tech.

I happen to be going to Camerons home town for business next week. Was quite suprised to hear he was from such a small and remote town in northern ontario.

WOW, sorry friend but obviously you don't know much about James Cameron. I don't know him personally but I watched all of the makings of all his movies and many documentaries, and I think he is a great guy and of course one of the top 5 directors of all time. Most of his movies are on a whole another level. I'm not surprised he is buddy with Michael. :)

Actually he is a scientist. He always goes on submarine missions for study and he's also worked for NASA designing spaceships.

The 3D in the trailer for Pirates 4 seem cool and also weird... some shots it looked like 2D objects in a 3d world
In others the background looks totally fake

I saw the pirates trailer with thor.
Those 2 minutes trailer had more and better 3D then the all Thor movie. I liked the movie, i really did. But the 3D was useless.
There showld be some law to forbid this crappy 3D to have more expensive tickets. They would still be allowed to be released to 3D theaters but at normal ticket price.
