My thoughts exactly:eek:
Hell, my boyfriend's dad already has a 52" LCD....and that's friggin' huge, 'specially when we're playing Halo on it.
But 108 inches? WTF???
He already has a place scoped out for it.
Imagine the super bowl on that thing....damn, I can't even imagine.
*shakes head*

Well I can't have a 108 inch, I'd have no where to put it and I don't want a bigger house to clean thank you, speaking of which now it is time to go do toliets and floors (cause I didn't do my chores yesterday, i.e., procrastinated -- bad me). There must be more to life.
Well, you don't have to put it in the bathroom. :D

Sounds awesome! Ya know, I'm in the minority but to me when I watch HDTV at my bud's house or sometimes checking it out in the store I see a lot of artifacting and things getting fuzzy. My, I just love a big TV, I really don't care about high def or not, it does bother me when people have those crazy expensive screens that kinda pixilates once in a while, make me like my regular TV even more.
Oh, and I love video games on a projector. My bud has a set up in his house that's amazing, literally a whole wall in his living room is the screen. Biggest Street Fighter tournament ever!
I must keep this news out of my husband's ear. (He's an audio-video enthusiast.)
But if he whispers "Don't you want to see Prime on 108-inch screen?" I won't be hardly able to resist.

A huge TV screen might be way cooler than a still picture.

Panasonic is planning to release it after May 2009, so TF2 Blu-Ray would look good on it.
But 3,000 watts of electricity!
The Independent
Unveiling the television, Panasonic's president Toshihiro Sakamoto said: "Can you imagine sitting at home and watching the Olympics on this baby?"
He should say "Can you imagine sitting at home and watching Optimus on this baby?" :D

Great quote!
And what's funny is that it's showing sumo wrestlers on the screen.
Sorry sora but...ewww....that's something I don't care to see on that big of a screen.

Agreed. Also it was showing an elephant. Why doesn't they show something more cool or hot?

3KW power consumption? You got to be joking. The heat it would generate in summer would be intolerable. I mean most electrical heating units don't even chew that much... :p

I wonder if they would even offer a warranty to people with little kids. Imagine if that screen broke how much it would cost to replace under an extended warranty!!! I feel bad for the poor bastards that have to deliver it to the top floor penthouse for some rich schmuck! It might not be too heavy but it sure is awkward!!

A LCD that big would be a great heater in winter. Hell you could sell ticket at the door for people to watch TF2 on and it would be better than the CINAMA http://bestsmileys.com/lol/7.gif
