I don't mean to be offensive to you micheal bay but for the next transformers films can someone else direct future sequels. I mean I thought micheal bay was not the type of person to film not just transformers but a sci-fi film. He seemed like he was just in the movie for the vehicles and the destruction, but not the transformers main action. Also in the disc 2 extras you say that you are a car director, is that the kind of director fans want see. I think fans want to see a director like george lucas or any other extreme sci-fi director. Probably the story plot would be better, the climax, and also certain things should have probably not have been added like the Allspark being the creator of the transformers instead of in G1 where the quintessons are the original creators. That is my OPINION and my main idea is not to offend anybody.

Well mendez22 not sure if you know this or not, but Bay has always had a very good relationship with the military and in most of his films he has access to the various vehicles that they use. Now no one else could have done it as good as him anyway without access to the military. Sure there are going to be those who critise his film making methods and that is life...you can't please them all.

Question: did you enjoy the transformers film?

Because that is what matters the most. Everyone I know who saw it loved it. As for him doing future sequels, he has already been signed on and filming has already begun judging by what other's have said here. So I am afraid you are well and truly barking up the wrong tree on this.

I don't think you are aware of this. Bay isn't responsible for the film entirely. You have the writers, studio, Executive producers, producers who have say in the end result

Bay did a fantastic job on the movie. He bought the story in, introduced the characters, added humor, and amazing CGI effects that just looked fantastic on screen. Bay had the #1 SCI-FI FREAKIN DIRECTOR at his side and in-charge of the film while he was directing it.

Hilarious. A film like Transformers in a hand of any other director than Bay would completely suck so hard.
George Lucas... Ahahahaaha... Other "extreme sci-fi director"... ahaha.. as I said, hilarious.

The alternatives.... George Lucas... that would suck more than the Phantom Menace.

Agree'd.

I think most people will agree, after watching Blackout transform for the first time and go do his thing, TF Lore, relationship with old series etc went out the window, I couldn't care less after seeing the film kick off.

IMO this movie is fortunate in having most stylish "car director" in the world.
Because a defining difference between Transformers and other robots (e.g. Robotech, Gundams) is that:

They're cars.

sorry George,I loved the trilogy of 4,5,6,thats my time. But to compare george lucas now.Good thing he didn't make it.everything would have been c.g.i except the actors. If i wanted to pay to see that,I would just save my money like i did after phantom menace and watch cartoon network with pizza.Instead of watching cartoons at the theatres. The scenes and backgrounds killed his series.did anyone go to the star wars 3 in theatres?didn't think so..........:DThanks Bay!! do it the military way and your O.K.:D

Actually, Transformers 2 was still in the scripting stage until the 2007 Writers Guild of America Strike came along. Not to sure was is going to become of the script now. Filming is expected to begin in June 2008 from what I hear.

Nice:)

Mendez you are on your own on this one. One more thing, just a piece of advise, don't come into a thread that is an official thread of the director and start flaming.......it won't win you any friends at all.

Bay can't please every fanboy (or girl), but he did his damndest to do it. And I believe he accomplished what he could given the budget he had.

and as sora said, Transformers are cars. Plain and simple.

I believe Bay should stick with the franchise because he's the only one who can do it.
