I'm just compiling a list of Michael Bay titles in HD, which regions, etc. Thought it might be useful.

Bad Boys
- Not yet available in HD. A Sony picture so would be Blu Ray when released

The Rock
- Available Blu Ray Region A US on Jan 8. Unsure of region status
- Available Blu Ray Region B UK. Will play on Region A players
- Available Blu Ray Region B Australia. Will play on Region A players
- Available Blu Ray in Germany. Region status unknown.

Armageddon
- Not yet available in HD. Disney/Touchstone, so I think this means Blu Ray

Pearl Harbor (theatrical cut)
- Available Blu Ray Region B UK. Will play on Region A players
- Available Blu Ray Region A US. Will play on Region B players
- Available Blu Ray in Germany. Region status unknown.

Pearl Harbor (Director's cut)
- Not Available on HD

Bad Boys II
- Not yet available in HD. A Sony picture so would be Blu Ray when released

The Island
- Available Blu Ray Region B UK. Will play on Region A players
- Available HD DVD UK. Not region locked
- Available Blu Ray in Germany ("Die Insel"). Region status unknown.

Transformers
- HDDVD. Region free. Worldwide availability

Moved to the Michael Bay forum.

I wish we had Transformers on Blu-ray, then it would be a clean sweep.

The more often I watch Transformers on DVD the more I miss it on Blu Ray.
The time will come. Definetely. The studio can't live without the income of a Blu Ray release.

BTW: Looking forward for Armageddon and Bad Boys on Blu Ray.

Yea, i want The Rock and the BB films on blu-ray the most. I can live without Trans on b-r, since the ps3 i will get will upconvert, i can live with the DVD release i have. Armageddon will be cool, hope its the Director's Cut Criterion edition.

Yeah, you are right about it nearly being a Blu Ray clean sweep. When I went through all of his films, I realised that Transformers (and T2 eventually) will be the only one that will ever be released on HDDVD.

I checked the HDDigest forums, and someone there confirmed Pearl Harbor is the Theatrical cut. Which is a shame.

By the time TF 2 comes out, Blu-ray will have won and they will release a Transformers 1 & 2 bundle set :D

Just an update. The Island is actually available in HD DVD in the UK also.

Just an update after going thru the German Blu Ray releases.

Germany has a few (non-Bay) listed I've not see elsewhere:
- Room 1408
- Planet Terror
- Death Proof

Weenstein films in the US, so currently on hold and nauseum..

but is Armageddon the director's cut criterion release? i'd think so since the Rock release is identical to the Crit. release

Armageddon isn't out anywhere yet. I hope it is the DC too though. Good point about The Rock meaning it should be the same ed at the critereon.

I was just on a thread on the HD forums with people asking about Armageddon.
