The most anti-climatic trailer I've seen in my life.

It looks like they had no money for trailer music.

Looks like a b-movie.

Looks like a colllege film student edited the damn trailer.

I don't know about this one either !

The fact that it kicked me off the michael bay website when I was done watching it too doesn't make me feel good about it either! lol

None of these work... they all randomly stop somewhere at the beggining or fail loading.

I'm excited about seeing this movie out there. I'm a DC geek for life but one of the few Marvel characters I'm passionate about is Iron Man (along with The Punisher and anything written by Bendis). In any case, from what I've seen he seems to have Tony Stark's a-hole, rich genius thing down. I liked the look of the MK1 suit in the cave and the MK2 suit flying with the jets looked cool.

Not the best trailer, not even really a trailer considering it's a chopped up and shortened version of the Comic-con footage. I think it's them wanting to put something out and pretty much recut what's already been seen.

Sorry man...it looks pretty cool if you ask me.

Looked ok. Felt like the trailer missed the mark a little. I missed out on Iron Man when I was younger, so I'm not built-in like I was with TF. It'll have to work a little harder to convince me that that first Iron suit doesn't look clunky as hell or that the second one won't look weird in motion. The only thing that is selling me right now is that Downey's got the smug, corporate @$$hole-sees-error-of ways-angle down. We'll see....

I have to admit the usage of Black Sabbath got me a little hype for it.

The first suit (Mark I) is supposed to be big and clunky...Stark made it in prison. Plus Stan Winston made these suits...i'm sure they'll be fine ;)

Sorry man...it looks pretty cool if you ask me.I am with jester on this one. the humor reminded me a bit of smoking aces and it has a vibe the first superman movie had. It seems fun and it doesn't take itself too seriously.

and the fact that the suit is real just adds to my excitement for this one. the flying scene was awesome. robert downey saying to the guy no gang signs and then telling him to "throw them up" is funny shite.

your kind of missing the point though with the first suit R. I mean the guy is building it in a cave with random parts he was given to make a missile. So of course it will look clunky and bulky. He has to rush to get this suit finished so he won't die.

I give the movie props for staying so faithful to the source material. There has to be a bit of silliness to the whole thing or it won't work. dude has to go through that cave like Rambo. it should be over the top. now when he gets the sleeked down version that's when things need to be serious.

I sure didn't.

Like I said, I'm sold on Downey's performance. But the editing left me scratching my head as to what's going on. (read: I know that he builds a suit, but what the heck is the rest of the movie about?)

Yeah, I don't mean to come off so brash. I need to pull it back a bit, it's too early to tell about the 2nd suit. Given the context that you guys are putting it to me, I doubt I could forge a better 1st suit given the circumstances.

Plus Stark is in the cave with the actor that yells "Mother-Bitch" from BB1. :p

I might have taken a little too much from the trailer lol. You're right though the trailer does leave you going "does this thing have a plot?"

What the movie's about is a big question. So far we know that they have a 3 movie arc set up and they have Terrence Howard in there so at some point you know Tony's gonna hit a low point and he takes over as Iron Man before getting his own Warmachine armor.

As for villains, they Have Obidiah Stain so obviously they are gonna work in his rival company trying to take over Stark Enterprise as well as steal technology for weapons. In the comics that had Stain eventually creating Iron Monger. They have also mentioned The Mandarin showing up so I don't know.

We have Stain trying to get Stark's company out from under him and possibly in this movie building a rival armor. Or it's the Mandarin.

Oh, and by comparison, here's the MK2 armor. Movie version on the left and the Adi Granov painting on the right.

And just for fun another Granov picture.

So yeah, I think they did great with the movie's armors.

I was never a fan of iron man but I just saw the trailer on tv and had a little different perspective than watching it at 6:00 am this morning on my computer, it might have some potential but I question the choice of that crackhead as the lead character.

I hope he keeps his nose clean and out of trouble otherwise it could ruin a good franchise.

Then again they've had 50 james bonds and 30 batmans so if they had to switch actors then who knows it could still work.

I didn't think it was that bad.... better announcement than TF had quality wise IMO--didn't come close in excitement though. I don't think you can beat the TF theatrical though...

That's the thing though, Robert Downey I think can pull off Tony Stark's crazy alcohol problems quite convincingly.

Okay, so after a re-watch I decided I didn't like Ozzy as the "theme song" for the trailer. It didn't work for me.

Well I guess we are lucky and it's Black Sabbath, not Ozzy. LOL.

But seriously, I can't stand Ozzy but love Sabbath, Ronnie James Dio all the way baby!

lolol I don't know. It just seemed like the obvious song to use but it doesn't seem to match it. And then end when they're saying the title, eh...

Could've worked with something else.
